I was not a fan of Duran Duran at all, but my college roommate was. At least, I think he was. I suspected his girlfriend was the real fan, and a girl at A&P once told him he looked like Simon Le Bon, and that probably swayed him, too. He still owes me for going with him to a Duran Duran concert with his little sister and her friend. The entire crowd was essentially screaming 13 to 16 year old girls. Brutal night. Man, that was being a serious friend. I once dated a girl who was a huge Bread fan and I dutifully complied attending two Bread concerts. But still I'd take David Gates over Simon LeBon. And no screaming. |
