I knew it. Every time we go on a run something like this happens.

Dinner sounds a bit like the game. I mean, it does sound like dinner. unlike the Yankees was a solid win, but my most positive thought about the whole game was, “Where would we be this year without Lucas Luetge”? …

I had such a great birthday! More calls/texts from friends and family than I've had for a long time! The icing on the cake would have been a Yankee win, but looks like they came up short day. I don't know whats with this offense. So much talent in the lineup but shutdown by the Orioles. Anyway, you guys wanted a review of the food. I'll compare the dishes to our players this year:
Gennaro's
Mussels: Nestor Cortes level, A Calamari: Gio Urshela level, B- Caesar Salad: DJ LeMahieu level, C Baked Ziti: Johnny Lasanga level, A Veal Francese: Aaron Judge level, A- Service: Lucas Luetge level, B+
Overall: A great Italian joint not as good as some of the places I've been in the city but still well recommended!
Now back to the gym tomorrow!
Glad you had a wonderful time. I cannot believe the Yankees wouldn’t put together a better effort on your birthday. No dessert? What is/are your favorite Italian restaurant(s)?

Well only good thing since he doesn't play every day and normal time missed is usually like a week or so he might only miss one start.

I would have had the Ziti, provided of course that the marinara was finely puréed. Actually if it’s not finely puréed, I can usually survive by dissecting the chunks out of it. I’ve had calamari. While I prefer shrimp, I simply usually eat less calamari than I do shrimp. Caesar salad. Can you serve me just lettuce? Either dry or with a clear Italian dressing. Let’s replace the Veal Francese with some beef meat balls. Keep the Francese, whatever that is. Regular marinara sauce. Iced tea, unsweetened, no lemon… crushed ice if you have it. Me and this palate of mine. Did you say wine or whine?…

We had ice cream at the ice cream shop close by to the restaurant. I had the butter pecan flavor. I haven't been to as many Italian restaurants as I've been to steakhouses but my two recent favorites include Carbone and Marea in NYC.

Wow! Big news! Can't wait to see him in action! He just may show enough that he’ll stick in the rotation the rest of the year…
