I remember that show. The other guys chomped on cigars and wore fedoras. Like from "Guys and Dolls " Bill Jauss I think was one of them. They had that Irv Kupcinet old Chicago look. Studs Lonigan. I don't know if that's one of Dr. Johnson's quips. I just finished re-reading Boswell for the first time in years and don't recall that one. Most of his quotes begin with "Sir " But I miss a lot of things. That’s it! Yes, “Guys and Dolls” and chomping cigars! Jauss was one of them! Amazing Pipps! Damon Runyan. Ring Lardner. Heywood Broun. Sportswriters who also did literature. |

I think it’s a Ba-Boone thing. I think he takes his orders from Cashman. Cashman has repeatedly said "Gardner is our best option at CF" recently.
