Remember when the Yankees were 9 behind the Red Sox in mid July ? If only the Yankees wouldn't have blown those games in Fenway.

Good lord Direct TV, they shut the game off while the Yanks were still mugging Gardner. They used to show the entire game wrap up from YES. They cut it off before a replay of the winning hit! What ahole did that?

What ahole did that? Don't feel bad. The dots froze up with Gardner at bat. Then showed a "final" score of 2-2 with Gardner still up.

Huge win! Somehow even with the uninspired offense and all of Boone's pitching change shenanigans (nine pitching changes? ), we still pulled it out!

I've lived here a good portion of my life. Born here, but moved to Florida in 1959 when I was four. Came back in 1990. One of my favorite places in New England is Plymouth Notch VT. The idyllic Coolidge homestead. They used to advertise that it was the only place in the world where you could get a Coolidge Burger, which used cheddar cheese made at the Coolidge farm. Calvin's son dropped in while we were there back in the 1970s. My wife and I were just there a couple months ago. Beautiful spot.

Looks like the Yanks made some kind of history last night. Boone will call this game his greatest performance as manager.
