Doing some work so I’m checking the score periodically. Looks good so far! But Anthony is saying it was a stressful 2 innings. Basically 50 pitches long counts. Passed ball. A double play after scoring 3 runs. Now in this third inning another dp by the Yankees and balk for Abreu. Thanks for keeping me updated! Much appreciated! |

Good to see us build a 5-1 lead off 10 early hits! Dick Lovelady is about to enter the game with two runners still in base.

I think that almost anyone that poses a reasonable threat at the plate could post an OBP over .300 if they just stood there snd never swung the bat… If you added bunting skills and the ability to gently steer the ball away from the defense, you’d have a big star! … |

Wade doubled and stole third DJ drove him in, then back to back singles by Gardner and Judge to make it 5-1. Of course Gardner has to get thrown out at 3rd on the Judge hit cause this team loves giving away outs. Gallo then flies out to end the inning.

I imagine Abreu is done for the day. I’ve always liked him more than I’ve liked his ERA, but today pulled that down to 4.22. He’s looking better all the time…
