Well, this probably the best lineup the Yankees can put out there right now. The boys look to rebound from the latest heartbreaker.

At .688, Tyler Wade now has a higher OPS than Gleyber at .679, Gardner at .646, Andujar at .667, Frazier at .633, Voit at .672, Higashioka at .652, Hicks at .627, Gallo at .586, Ford at .561, and is just behind LeMahieu at .716 and Odor at .717.
This is a terrible hitting team. In 2018, the Yankees had 8 players with an OPS over .800; 12 in 2019; and 6 in 2020. This season, we have 5; unfortunately, 2 are in AAA in Allen and Florial. The others are Rizzo, Judge, and Stanton.

Dylan Cease has improved by giant strides this season. His FIP has dropped by a lot. His strikeout ratio is big. If not for some nominal command issues he’d be even more dangerous, as he seldom makes it to the 6th inning. He has the look of someone who could shit us down and have most of the team on his strikeout victim list. If we chase he’s liable to own us for 7 innings…

Cease walked a season high 4 in 4.1 that day… That goes along with his occasional command issues, I suppose. If we’re hacking, he’ll own us…

Orioles are not helping us today, allowing the Red Sox to assault them to this point, 15-2 in the eighth…

By the way… Taillon has been doing pretty well lately himself. Let’s see how this shakes out… 😂

Britton putting the team ahead of himself. He’s certainly right. I’ve always liked him, except when he had that personality disorder called pitching for the Orioles. He’s obviously not up to par…

I think DJ could have had a triple, but it’s a good decision not to risk it… but we need to get him over…

Britton putting the team ahead of himself. It’s supposed to work the other way around. Kudos to Britton for doing Boone’s job.
