Gallo has def helped this team though even in games he doesn't hit much hes usually on base or he has saved runs in the field cause of his arm. I sure don’t want Gallo sitting. He’s miles ahead of Stanton in the field. Some commented earlier that .210 hitters don’t normally bat 3rd, which is very true. But most .210 hitters don’t have 40 HR power, nor lead the majors in BB…We have to remember that he’s not exactly seeing fastballs grooved down the middle, and a pitcher that pitches around him is adding a base runner while still facing heavy lumber behind him… Actually I gave Gallo too much credit, he's a .160 hitter with the Yankees, batting 3rd. I've seen Gallo swing though plenty of fastballs down the middle, including tonight. Swinging and missing is what he does best. |

If the Yanks take the division, it’ll be historically significant… It's really an amazing stretch when you consider they haven't been overly dominate, they just win! Plus, the other side of the equation with our competitors cooperating by losing more often than we have. What we have to beware of is that we also may have another one of those 9-15 stretches ahead of us. I we do, it all goes back to the way it was at mid-season… |
