They needed this win, especially with tomorrow's starter being up in the air.

Not at all vintage Chapman, but he got it doneโฆ Shocking enough he's still third in the AL in saves imagine if he actually was consistent he prob would be leading the AL.

It's a shame Mets wasted that brilliant 5 run effort by Walker.

Easy peasy. Never had a doubt. Chapman is automatic.

It's a shame Mets wasted that brilliant 5 run effort by Walker. And a shame another Mets catcher couldn't repeat history 20 years later.

There are so many things to dislike about this season. One of them is games like tonight. Games where you won, but it felt like you lost. Then there were the games we lost that seemed we were going to win them right up until we were stabbed by the steely knife of sudden defeat.
The injuries, the Covid. The disappointing outcome of most of the mid-season trades. The disappointment of the lack of growth by certain players. The plain weirdness of the bullpen. There has been a strangeness about the entirety of itโฆ

The kid that's been here a month is speaking up in team meetings. I'm not sure what to make of that.

The kid that's been here a month is speaking up in team meetings. I'm not sure what to make of that. All three of them can speak extemporaneously. For Sandwich and Gleyber, they require time to prepare, set their feet, stand up, and then whiff on the tag from thirty feet away.

The kid that's been here a month is speaking up in team meetings.ย I'm not sure what to make of that. All three of them can speak extemporaneously. ย For Sandwich and Gleyber, they require time to prepare, set their feet, stand up, and then whiff on the tag from thirty feet away. ย Not to mention Higgy speaking up with his .176 batting average. Stanton probably stood to the side with a menacing, furrowed brow stare. DJ too embarrassed to speak. Every week TV announcers are declaring him one of baseballโs best hitters as he hovers just under .270. Gardner not bothering to speak because itโs all been said before. Maybe Voit should have spoken to let them all know that if he was playing instead of Rizzo, theyโd be better. Chapman could have brandished his weapon if he knew where it wasโฆ
