There's an element of unreality to this. Look I could see if they were playing terrible and ran out a fluke 13 game win streak but they were 35-11 or whatever over almost a 50 game span which is about 1/3 of the season. Just amazing it translates to 3-12 to follow. |

Look I could see if they were playing terrible and ran out a fluke 13 game win streak but they were 35-11 or whatever over almost a 50 game span which is about 1/3 of the season. Just amazing it translates to 3-12 to follow. I'm far from the first to observe that I have never seen a Yankee season like this one. Genuine Jekyll and Hyde squad. They have an undoubted capacity to be an outstanding team, and an undoubted capacity to be a terrible team. It's the only reason I cling to any hope that they can still turn it around. |
