Yanks made the most of their 5 hits with several, well, a few, clutch hits. Gil with a Walkeresque performance. Gallo creeping up on the Mendoza line with a rare 2 hit game. All in all, a good day and needed win.

I checked the score at work and saw the Yanks were losing 5-0 and only had 2 hits, so I assumed the game was over and forgot about. What a surprise to see that they came back to steal this one, a much needed win for sure! They're setup to go on a nice run, with a weak schedule, time to get going.

Down the line? Okay, John. If you say so…

To posit the obvious, is this team the winningest bunch of losers you’ve ever seen? Or are they the losingest bunch of winners? Very confusing team…

Katie Sharp knows everything. Love her posts. Thankfully the Twins are good for the Yanks to break that streak!

Thankfully I can't afford to golf. To many would be in already full hospitals.... We win a lot of close games. I don't know if that reflects skill or random number generation from a strange distribution.

Gil showed us a little something yesterday after giving up 4 in the first and only one more through 6. Could have folded under the pressure, but didn't.

Gil showed us a little something yesterday after giving up 4 in the first and only one more through 6. Could have folded under the pressure, but didn't. I'm glad you mentioned that. He threw the worst pitches of his brief career in the first. A lot of young pitchers might have caved after that, but Gil pulled it together and looked like the guy we've been seeing all along.
