Can't believe I'm watching a stupid Red Sox game hoping they lose, because this team can't beat an already clinched team with nothing to play for.

Can't believe I'm watching a stupid Red Sox game hoping they lose, because this team can't beat an already clinched team with nothing to play for. I'm in the same boat as you anthony.  |

Shockingly enough if the Red Sox lose this it puts them at 90-71 which means that the Yankees at 91-70 would actually be playing for BOTH the playoff spot and #1 WC clinching with a win. So lets hope they lose, because a Red Sox win puts the Yankees in a spot where if they win they aren't guaranteed the home game since it would open up a possibility both teams finish at 91-70. |

So what's our situation? A loss today by SEA or TOR and we're in WC as at least #2? If we win tmrw we are in for WC #2 but then need a BOS loss today or tmrw? We all knew this wouldn't be easy after the 5-1 road trip, such a typical 2021 Yankee thing.
