So what's our situation? A loss today by SEA or TOR and we're in WC as at least #2? If we win tmrw we are in for WC #2 but then need a BOS loss today or tmrw? We all knew this wouldn't be easy after the 5-1 road trip, such a typical 2021 Yankee thing. Yea ridiculous 5-1 against hungry teams in their home parks but 0-2 against a clinched team at the Yankees home. Yankees can't guarantee a wildcard spot today. They have guaranteed at least 163. Red Sox up 1-0 in the 7th if that holds Red Sox clinch # 1 wildcard with a win tomorrow. If Red Sox lose Yankees would clinch #1 wildcard with a win tomorrow. Tor loss tomorrow prevents them from tying the Yankees, but a yankee win also prevents that. Sea loss today or tomorrow also prevents them from tying the Yankees but a Yankee win would also prevent that. Ideal thing is for the Red Sox to lose this or the Yankees lose home field control. Basically Yankees can't get more than 71 losses. They have 70 Red Sox have 70(71 if loss today) Blue Jays 71 Mariners 71 |

This is a strange team. Tampa had nothing to play for and we had everything and we only needed one win.
But I guess the answer is we have ignored offense to too long and its finally biting us. Hopefully they will do something about it

Looks like I picked a terrific day to take us for a 300-mile drive through the mountains of Colorado! I’m pooped, but I think the game would have ticked me off badly. Here’s a list of the wildlife I recall spotting.
2 dozen Pronghorn
2 dozen deer 🦌
1 dozen bighorn sheep
2-3 dozen bison* 🦬
2 mountain bluebirds
1 black squirrel
1 squadron of crows
Dozens of unidentified birds
* bison were ranch-kept, but I count them because there has never been a tame one. I’d rather face down a puma than a bison any day.
We drove over a small mountain pass that was enough of a challenge to say that four wheel drive was certainly recommended, and more clearance than a family sedan was required. The Hummer didn’t even breathe hard at any point. It also handled great on tight turns going through the mountains and canyons afterward. Biggest problem at the end of the day was bugs on the windshield…
Let’s win tomorrow, men. Inger expects to be watching. Don’t embarrass yourselves…
