Oakland needs to finally move. Or better yet, to move, finally. Or just make a final move…

I mean we aren't even seeing the Yankees name in anything like what is this?

I think everyone is just a bit over anxious, gentleman. There have been a lot of signings of players we don’t need nor want. A couple nice fish have got away, but nothing we’d want to have stuffed and pit over the mantle.
My guess is that there are a couple nice ones that have been quietly nibbling at the bait. If they swim away, then it’s going to be time to wonder what’s for dinner.
In the meantime time, it’s usually best to keep the noise down when Cash goes fishing. He’s bound to bring back something tasty…or an old tire or two…

Sony Gray is heading to Minnesota, I'm not sure what the Red are doing.

He was just so-so for Boston last year, but it’s another serviceable arm for the Mets. They haven't fallen asleep like some New York teams have. I saw a quote from Jeff Cohen this morning; he was asked if he thought he could stay under the super luxury tax that kicks in at $290 million, and he responded "probably not." I hope Hal is watching.

The Yankees are probably working on trying to get back Jonathan Davis. The one advantage New York has over other teams is money, and yet Hal behaves like he's the leader of a mid-market club. The Bronx has a ball park that is made - historically - for left-handed hitters, yet the roster is dominated by right-handed position players. Cashman stated that he wanted the ball club to be more balanced and athletic, so during a pennant race he sends down both Esteban Florial and Greg Allen, both of whom were playing well and adding excitement to the club. At the end of the year, the Yankees finally realize that Gleyber Torres is not a true shortstop and moved a third baseman in Gio Urshela to shortstop and a second baseman in Rougned Odor to third base. Then, Boone sits a red-hot Tyler Wade on the bench - a left-handed, athletic, speedster who plays shortstop. During the offseason, Cashman lets go of Tyler Wade and Andrew Velazquez for nothing - the last two shortstops on the roster. A few years ago, Pittsburgh wanted Miguel Andujar and Clint Frazier in a trade for Gerrit Cole. Cashman nixed the deal, and Cole went on to deliver a World Series to the Houston Astros. Last offseason, Cashman released Frazier for nothing and will likely do the same with Andujar very soon. Old George Steinbrenner isn't looking so bad lately. YEAH Speed, Lefty Batters, Young, Cheap, etc. = CASH gave them away (except for Florial; but he may not be long for club...):

White Sox looking real good. A hell of a BP plus they just got Harrison one of my Favorites (plays like 6-Positions).
Twins Acquire Sonny Gray From Reds.
Right-hander Chris Bassitt, who made a remarkable recovery from a frightening line drive to the head last year, was traded by the Oakland Athletics to the New York Mets on Saturday for a pair of minor league pitchers.
The Mets sent right-handers J.T. Ginn and Adam Oller to the A’s for Bassitt.
Bassitt gives the Mets a much-needed starter for the middle of the rotation, seemingly a good fit behind aces Jacob deGrom and Max Scherzer.
The 33-year-old Bassitt came back to make two starts in late September, just more than a month after he took a 100 mph liner to the face on Aug. 17 in Chicago. The drive came off Brian Goodwin’s bat in the second inning of a 9-0 loss to the White Sox.
Bassitt underwent surgery for three fractures in his right cheekbone. Immediately after the injury, his right eye was swollen shut.
Bassitt wound up 12-4 with a 3.15 ERA in 27 starts, including his first career complete game. He had been an AL Cy Young candidate when he got hurt and his absence took a toll on the A’s beyond the field. He was 12-3 with a 3.06 ERA and leading the AL in victories when he was injured.
My bet on WS at 18-1 looking better & better...
TEQUILA is wondering what the Yankees are doing? Yankees manager Aaron Boone: 'We can win now with what we have' (A CHOIR OF GIGGLING IN BACKGROUND).

Steve Cohen may be an insider trading douche but at least he spends money on the team which is more I can say for Hal.
