I didn't want Correa but its kind of funny the Twins dumped 36 year old Donaldson on us so they could sign him.  At least Houston has to scramble now… Didn’t see the Twins coming. Correa’s back must be scaring teams away from long term obligation… |

In the last three days, the Phillies added Kyle Schwarber and Nick Castellanos. Given their bullpen woes they could have used Jansen. I know Jansen is 34, but last season he had his best ERA+ since 2017. I'm a bit surprised that after twelve seasons the Dodgers didn't bring him back on what by today's standards is a reasonable deal.
The Braves, Mets and Phillies are all bulking up in the NL East.

The Yankees used to be big free agent players, now they're just chumps. They used to not worry about profit, now its their key factor. Not going with free agents is ok if you have a good farm system. The Yankees have not shown generally they can turn out elite players from theirs that can make a difference in the majors. That will have to change if we want to actually go places in the play offs. |

I am not sure that is being seriously considered. |

The plot is thickening… Moving him to second and getting rid of our current 2b would make sense since the guy we have there can't play 2b very well. I am not sure that is being seriously considered. The 2nd baseman should be D.J. since that's his best defensive position. Torres is also fine at 2nd, it's SS that he struggles with. He just needs to hit better. The new guy would become a utility guy which would be heart breaking from him, because he seems so excited about being the Yankees SS. This probably doesn't even matter since I'll believe the Yankees are signing Story when I see it! |

I’d prefer to keep IKF. If they do get Story, it will be a deal similar but not as rich as North Correa. Either Torres or IKF gets traded. Probably IKF, because lots of teams like what he brings to the table. With Story’s throwing yips, it could wind up a huge mistake, even for a two or three year opt out contract. Yankee fans will not embrace Story as they will Eine Kliner Nachtmusic. |
