Never had a hole-in-one. I’ve been close enough to tap in and hit the flag a few times, but not once have I recorded a “1” on a score card.

Had the ball simply rolled another foot or so it was right on line. The birdie pit was the single hardest one footer I ever sank. It was a real round-saver after I took a 10 on the par 5 #10. It also came on Hartefield National, and my final score of 92 was quite a nice moment considering the 10 and the slope of that course @141. The #10 on the par five was born off an errant tee shot that I misread and hit very well but toward the wrong fairway. It was my first and only visit to that course, as the fee was out of my typical range. I think it was like $65 for twilight… I was pissed that the greens had been painted an almost aqua color…

Dang. I should watch more golf. Almost everyone I used to follow is retired now. I barely know anyone on that list. Good luck with your wild betting on them this year, Dome! I know you do good for others with some of your winnings! …

It always helps to read the outline on the back of the score card or get one of those little booklets that lays out the hole for you. Too many times, I was too eager and excited to take the time to do so. Now, there are carts with GPS and some have outlines of the course with updated pin locations.

As it turned out, that was one of those courses where a pro would recommend that you hit three five irons instead of being aggressive as well. I never, ever followed that advice on any golf course. There’s a course in Monument, Co called Kings Deer. They would hand out printed tips that you could read for each hole as recommended by the resident pro. If I’d have followed those instructions I’d have probably shot about 150, and worn a dress while I was playing. I liked being aggressive on the course, so I took the failures well while rejoicing on the successes…

It was very strange because I essentially shot the same score I would have with the rest of my clubs.

It was very strange because I essentially shot the same score I would have with the rest of my clubs. Weird plays. I recall one day when I put a ball on the green, about pin high and to the right of the pin. I was aware the greens were extremely slick and went to give the putt the very lightest of touches, only to chicken out and barely make any contact at all. It was a bit embarrassing to see the ball roll two inches and stop for a millisecond, only to begin rolling again, come to a near stop at least two more times before trickling into the hole for a birdie after what seemed like several minutes had gone by. It’s amazing how much luck (and nerves) come into play. I still wonder if the intended strike would have taken the ball off the green and into the opposite side bunker. It was more downhill once the ball would have rolled past the cup. This happened on the thirteenth hole that day, and turned out to be the turning point of the round for me. Golf is such a remarkable game that can hand you some of the greatest moments of your sporting life, only to humble you to depths, sometimes moments apart…

I have ONCE AGAIN added another Player to my 2022 list = Sahith Theegala (Tequila and I really like him and think he might become a great player???!!!). 2021-2022 is his rookie season...
...Theegala was born in 1997. He was a three-time NCAA All-American at Pepperdine University.[1][3] In his final year at Pepperdine, Theegala won the Southwestern Invitational,[2] the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, and the Australian Master of the Amateurs.[4] His collegiate career was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced the 2020 season to end early, with his Pepperdine team ranked first in the nation.[5]
In 2020, Theegala won the Haskins Award, the Ben Hogan Award, and the Jack Nicklaus Award, becoming just the fifth person ever to win all three awards in the same year.[6][7] Professional career
Amateur wins
2010 Future Masters 1 2011 Junior All-Star at Robinson Ranch 2012 Presidents Boys Cup 2014 Los Angeles City Championship 2017 Southwestern Invitational, Sahalee Players Championship 2018 Waves Challenge 2019 SCGA Amateur Championship, Alister MacKenzie Invitational 2020 Australian Master of the Amateurs, Southwestern Invitational

If any of you having been watching the PGA in 2022 SOME of my picks have been doing really well!!!
In the WM Final I have FIVE in the Top Ten...
I think that the ROOKIE Theegala (one of my picks for 2022) just might win this.
GOD, I hope/pray that in the Majors (where I put down $$$) that my picks do just as well!!!
