Birds of a feather, flock together. Is Tequila Venezuelan by ancestry by any chance? Does she happen to have a mole on her right upper beak? Was Torreyes born of egg-laying parents? Did Tequila hatch on or about Sept 2, 1992? Is she a slap-hitter? (Perhaps with her wings)? Does she ever say "Ronald wants a cracker, too"???

Yankees stuck at airport overnight, wait out 12-hour delay
There were no five-star hotel stays for the New York Yankees on Wednesday night.
In fact, it was just the opposite for the American League's hottest team.
The Yankees spent the night at Dulles International Airport in Virginia, general manager Brian Cashman said, after their scheduled flight to Kansas City for the start of a weekend series against the Royals was delayed for close to 12 hours. With hotels in the Washington area at near capacity at such a late hour, the Yankees opted to spend the overnight either waiting in the terminal or on the plane itself.

I spent the night in the terminal in St. Louis last year. Slept on the floor...You wake up from time to time with a sore hip or rib, flipping over. You curse the installation of the armrests on all of the seating. I did find a way to lie down on the seats for a while, but in the end, the floor is the best option...especially if you have an overnight bag or something to lay your head on...It was a bear because the weather in St. Louis was fine, but it was snowing in the east...and the flight east that was scheduled a few minutes prior to mine was allowed to take off...
I think that I could have gotten at least two hits if I had played the next day... (:

No, Inger being a African Grey (Hint) is from Africa...the Congo Region, etc.
I got her as a Baby in or about 1992/1993 (close).
I think at times Tequila wants to SLAP me...go figure.
She speaks; up to 200 words and is able to count up to 20...but refuses to say the 'Want a cracker Bit.'
Tequila LOVES Inger...

Well, okay. I just wanted to find out for sure if she was related to Torreyes. Since she doesn't have a mole on her right upper beak, and since she was not born in Venezuela (though she was born about the time Torreyes was), we will ASSUME she is not his twin. On the other hand, I'm sure African Greys are bred the world over because of their beauty, right? (Maybe, who really knows)...I'm fairly certain as well that Torreyes was not born of egg-laying parents, though he does look a bit like a little lizard...
Yes, Tequila is far too smart to play the cracker game...and smart enough to want to smack you from time to time. Good bird...I'd give her a cracker, even if she didn't ask for one...

Side from Andujar using Castro's bat... Does he remind anyone else of Castro?? Doesn't walk much... Goes up there looking for a hit.. doesn't really look to walk at all. Hopefully as he spends more time in majors he matures into a more patient hitter... Unlike Castro

Hopefully as he spends more time in majors he matures into a more patient hitter... Unlike Castro Andujar has plenty of time to become a better hitter than Castro. I’m not convinced he’s the long time answer at third base, though. I like the lively bat, but I do believe he still needs to develop his selectivity. I like his arm and see him as sure handed on routine plays, but not particularly rangy. I’d like to get a good look at Drury at third base if he proves to be healthy. I know Andujar has won a lot of people over, and I do like him...but i’d rather have a 3B that I can love with all my withered old heart...Andujar should probably learn to play 1B due to his lack of range, and ultimately is more likely to be a DH-type long term...unless he’s willing to work very hard on his defense, showing a willingness to leave his feet like all of the truly great 3B have done...

Inger... I agree with you there. I think Drury is more of a long term answer at 3rd than Andujar... Although I respect that Andujar has done with the bat so far. I think a lot of fans are over hyping Andujar bc he's home grown and under hyping Drury bc we traded for him. I see more of a professional hitter in Drury. Can't wait to see him in the bigs after he shakes some rust off and gets the migraine issue fixed.

MLB Trade Rumors tweeted that LHP Ryan Bollinger has been added to the 40 man and called up for today's game. He finally makes it to the majors 9 years after he was drafted in the 47th round by the Phillies. He's had a few indy league stops, including Australia and Germany.

Never heard of him (of course), but you have to admire his pluck...Hope he gets to hang around long enough to draw a pension!!!

Yankees again stranded at an airport
It was another travel nightmare to remember.
The Yankees, who earlier in this three-city trip held an unscheduled sleepover at Dulles International Airport in Virginia because of various issues with their Delta charter, were again stranded, this time into the early morning hours Thursday in Dallas.
The team plane did depart from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport a couple of hours after Wednesday night’s 12-10 loss to the Rangers but a mechanical issue shortly after takeoff forced the aircraft to return to the airport.
The plane landed safely back at DFW and the traveling party waited on the airplane for a part to arrive. As of 2 a.m. ET Thursday none had and it was not immediately clear when a part was expected to arrive.
