Barring a trade, a position must be found for Andujar because his bat plays so well...Machado and Harper are going to sign before ST, so it's too late to find out if Andujar can play a corner OF position in ST, isn't it?...couldn't the Yankees figure that out in a 6 week trial....can a team send any player they want to the Arizona Fall League?...……..if I had to put money on it, I think the Yankees might pass on Machado because they don't want to move Andujar…. On the other hand, though I’m not a Machado fan... I believe his glove would win me over pretty quickly at 3B. Even though I AM an Andujar fan, he could bring back a fine starting pitcher as the headliner in a trade...

But I got a damn sneaky feeling the Yanks will sign him. That might work out ok...Andujar could play 3B while Machado is DH; than ever two weeks or so switch them.
What CONCERNS me is:
1. Harper; GOD I hope WE do not sign him. 2. Sanchez??? He has to improve or ________________________??? 3. Our Pitching Staff...

And this comes back to why the manager grade I offered of 65 was offered. Injuries or not, this team has been mismanaged through the past several months. If you have a basic philosophy of resting players and creating new line ups that’s okay with me. But when someone is missing in the regular workplace, is the boss dumb enough to walk up to one of his present employees and digest that he and maybe another guy should also take the day off? And then, while we’re at it, we’ll also tell everyone to switch places today and do a task they haven’t proven that they can handle? In case you think there might be a trick answer to that question, there isn’t. Heck no! In effect that is what Boone has done way too often over the time that the team was missing key performers. This is a common-sense deficit that I can’t excuse...

One of the worst manager names in history...Stump...The only way I can think that a manager might have a worse name might be if a guy named Bozo was hired. How can you respect someone that goes by Stump???

Sanchez needs to get his ACT together..
09-19-18: www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/red-sox-celebration-is-kept-on-ice/ar-BBNx2LJ?li=BBnba9I Sanchez has 14 passed balls, the most in American League despite having caught only 66 games.

How Gary Sanchez Collapsed from Potential MVP to Yankees Burden.
In 2018, that star has come crashing to earth.
Entering play Monday, Sanchez was hitting .188. He's gone 9-for-47 with 15 strikeouts in September.
Just as damningly, his defense has vacillated between suspect and atrocious. Despite missing extensive time to injury and playing in only 79 games, Sanchez is tied for the big league lead with 13 passed balls.
In the first inning of a pivotal contest against the Oakland Athletics on Sept. 5, Sanchez allowed two passed balls and whiffed on a pair of wild pitches. The Yanks lost to their chief rival in the AL wild-card scramble, 8-2. New York starter Luis Severino called the first inning of that game "a mess," per Billy Witz of the New York Times.
That's a fitting description of Sanchez both behind the dish and in the batter's box.
We knew he was raw defensively and had work to do. His saving grace was his howitzer arm, with which he gunned down 41 percent of would-be base stealers in 2016 and 38 percent in 2017. This year, that figure sits at a more pedestrian 27 percent.
He can't catch or throw especially well. He's hitting below the Mendoza Line. What the heck happened? READ MORE...

All indications are that the Yankees think this season might be an abnomally. He will get another shot next season to revert back to what Cash thinks is his norm. If by the next trade deadline he’s still who he is now, maybe they pull the plug. He’s a stubborn guy for sure on both sides of the ball. He and Bird sit in stark contrast to Torres and Miggy at this point.

Meaningless Yankee news but I can't picture Tanaka hitting chicken wings.
