I too have Morton Neuroma, the “neurpothapy; it drives me crazy. I too had to take my shoe off when driving (I no longer drive, because of this issue). What is the Shot Regiment you took? After surgery, did Ruthie improve more than you? How bad was the surgery? Thanks, I could use your guidance here since you experienced the same issue/problem. Godammit, now I'm pissed. I was typing an answer to you on my phone, and suddenly lost the post before I could create it. I retyped it on the desktop, had one misspelling and went back to edit before sending and got one of those "Aw Snap" messages that something went wrong with the website before I could post it...So...here is #3. I will save often in the process. I don't recall the name of the shot procedure nor the substance that I received. That's been 8-10 years ago. I never went back for the additional sixteen shots because it interfered too much with work to travel 40 miles or so round trip on a work morning before I could start with my appointments, etc.. I gained enough relief to bear with the symptoms. I still have some constant pain that varies in intensity from time to time, along with numbness and sharper, shooting pains sometimes at night that will make me call out and my leg will twitch/kick. So, it did help, but it's not been great. I also have numbness, in particular in my greater right toe (both feet are affected, but the right one more so). There is also an enlarged "knuckle" on that toe that has probably turned to arthritis. Occasional odd sensations include one where it will feel as though my left pinky toe has crossed on top of the next toe, but it really hasn't moved... Ruthie tried the shots before her surgery and they did nothing for her. The incision was on the top of the foot and she had middling pain for a couple of days afterward. She had to limit walking to trips to the bathroom for two weeks to recover. She still has symptom similar to mine, but with less intensity. For instance, when she gets a shooting pain it's a sort of calm "ouch" I had a pain in my foot. I usually bear pain much better than her, so there is likely a significant difference in our results. (Goddam it! A pop up add just popped up right where I was typing, bastards!). She recommends the surgery as not all that bad. All in all, since Blue Marlin said the acupuncture seemed to work well for him, I think I'd try that if my pain intensified again. I've never had acupuncture and have always regarded it with a semi-positive but skeptical outlook like I do chiropractory services (which I've also never had, though Ruth says it was great for her)...but I'd take Blue Marlins word for this and go at it... THANKS SO MUCH for your advice!!! I might try acupuncture...now just have to find someone in this small fishing village that knows acupuncture. WISH me LUCK!!!

You may find plenty of people willing to puncture you. It’s the acu-part you have to be wary of...

Stanton getting ready for the season: I feel like I’ve seen that before. I use that Ski-Erg at our gym also. It doesn’t look like that at all when I do it.

Reviewing Stanton's season vs. his career...
He hit just slightly below his career of .268/.358/.548 at .266/.343/.509.
His OPS of 126 was the third lowest of his career.
His 38 HR were the second highest total in a season, and he reached 100 RBI for the third time in his 9 seasons.
His 34 doubles were a career high.
For the second season in succession he appeared in over 150 games, pulling his average games per season up to 127.
In 2017 Stanton launched 59 home runs. Since that is a career high by 21 more than his next best season, it would appear to have been an anomaly.
In 2018 Stanton struck out 211 times. Since that is a career high by 41 more than his next worst total, it would appear to have been an anomaly.
His 162 game averages are 43 HR and 109 RBI. The biggest trick would appear to be keeping him healthy enough to play in a significant number of games. There appears to be a lot more in the tank, but to expect a lot more than the team got in 2018 would be extremely optimistic, if not down right greedy. Stanton's light total of 70 BB in 2018 appeared to be a part of his issue, leading to the excessive strike outs. As a 24 year old in 2014 he hit .288/.395/.555, walking 94 times while leading the NL with 37 HR. That was a season that followed a .249 performance that had disappointed. I hope he's feeling a bit disappointed about his 2018 and lays off pitches out of the strike zone more often...

He appeared to decide on swinging before the pitch was delivered on a lot of occasions. I wonder how many of his HRs were hit in blowouts or games decided by more than 5 runs (I guess it would matter what the score was when he hit them, not the final score to be fair). Guys were chirping at me all season on how Stanton hit home runs in non pressure situations.

I think that video is a year old.. Then let’s hope he’s doing something different this winter, like what he did before 2017... (:

Stanton getting ready for the season: If someone throws him a tire, he's going to crush it! Unless of course, there are two strikes with runners on base...and they throw it down and away with a little tail on it...

I also would think that to be something that can be coincidental, and highly noticed in a player’s first year for any new team if it does happen. Make that team the Yankees and the fan angst extrapolates to stratospheric levels... I would bet we’ll see him hit his fair share of meaningful Yankee homers before he leaves town...(Unless Cashman has plans to move him this winter...I’m mostly saying that to get a rise out of Kaybli, he’s been too quiet lately)...

Stanton getting ready for the season: If someone throws him a tire, he's going to crush it! I also have no idea what the point is of hitting a tire with a sledgehammer from a training perspective. I’m not a coach or a trainer of course but in 5+ years of working with some excellent trainers 5-6 times a week, nobody has ever asked me to do that. We occasionally have a tire flip in an outdoor workout, which is a fun alternative to squatting along with a sled push but hitting a tire with a sledgehammer in the middle of an indoor gym seems like a really stupid thing to do.

Maybe a pissed off routine when you strike out? I mean, he did whiff 211 times. Someone that consistent needs a signature moment, right?
