I wasn't aware that the FOX network owned YES. So, when you think about, whoever owns the network should have minimal impact on us as viewers, I suppose...I guess...I dunno. With all the mergers and cross-merges, buyouts, minor partnerships, silent partnerships, etc., in the end we have little idea of what we’re supporting or where the end dollar goes. As long as they don’t stop Paulie from calling out Kay for having a giant head or try to limit what Coney can say I guess it won’t matter much to me... I don’t know where it stands today, but it was probably about 15-20 years ago that I read an article about what a huge percentage of radio stations were owned by Clear Channel, which had/has Christian management and therefore was chopping out certain words that they found objectionable from songs. Sometimes new words were edited it and other times the words were either skipped or slurred over with kind of sound mastery. Ever since then, I try to steer away from Clear Cjannel, just based on the idea that they were controlling art and media...I’m sure I don’t always catch it when I’m on their “property”, but I do still try to steer away from it. Not that it hurts them, for I’m not overly influenced by advertising, etc. ...

So I see that Clear Channel eventually morphed into IHeart Radio, which fiked bankruptcy in March 2018. In Steve Urkel fashion, I’m asking... “Did I do that”?...

I don’t think we can match up with Cleveland for either of Kluber or Carrasco. We might be able to start to make a match with Clevenger or the odd-natured Bauer. Since the Indians are not looking for prospects so much as MLB pieces to keep them in contention, we’d have to provide help where it’s needed. That would mean an OF, or perhaps a 2B if the Cleveland front office has decided that they’ve likely seen the best days from Kipnis they may want a 3B or a 2B. They’d also surely accept relief help. Assuming they also want affordability, you can cross Stanton off their wish list. Judge is going nowhere and Gardner is not going to make them drool at this point in his career. Judge is certainly not going anywhere. So the pieces to start any conversation with are Andujar, Torres, and/or Hicks. With Didi out, you just about have to pull Torres back...leaving us with a package of say, Andujar, Hicks and perhaps either Tarpley or some other reliever with upside...Now, if we get crazy maybe we find a way to take Kipnis back and hang the risk of his comeback on the Yankees...if the Indians get crazy and the Yanks pay 2/3 of his salary, maybe we can feed them enough firewater to get them to take Ellsbury...and let the Indians take the risk of his comeback... See? It starts to smell like a Karl trade, at which point it all falls apart...

I wouldn’t trade Andujar for one of their pitchers and don’t think Cashman would either. So I think this is off the table

To me, it just makes a ton of sense to deal Stanton if we can work out the issues with the NTC and such. We have too many right handed bats, especially with Didi out for...however long it will be. I'd even trade him for pitching and go get some LH power from another source to change the dynamics of the lineup...I don't dislike him, in fact I'd miss him, but the team is more important than the player...
I know there isn't a lot of belief that Stanton could be dealt...But as for me and grandpa, we believe...(cheap Christmas reference)...

I would love to deal Stanton, but I don't get why that would have to happen before Hal could sign either Machado or Harper.

Stanton has a no trade clause and he loves being a Yankee, so it's going to be hard to deal him, especially when you consider the size of his contract.

I guess the main issue is that we need to add a couple of LH bats. Yes. A couple...ThT’s not going to be easy...Unless Bird...you know...

The "if " game again..Lol.. It truly stinks to win 100 games and still have to figure out how to “fix” the horrible, broken team...
