Great story of human perseverance... Yeah, easy to pull for this guy. It’s hard enough just being the guy named “Farquhar” in the first place...

Danny Farquhar - R - Yankees
Yankees signed RHP Danny Farquhar to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Farquhar suffered a brain hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm last April when he was with the White Sox, which knocked him out for the rest of the season. He's recovered well, though, and will try to return to the majors at some point with the Yankees.

Josh Stowers - OF - Yankees
Yankees acquired OF Josh Stowers from the Mariners for 2B Shed Long.
The Yanks picked up Long from the Reds in the Sonny Gray deal but will flip him for Stowers, who was a second-round pick in last year's Draft. The 21-year-old batted .260/.380/.410 with five homers and 20 steals over 58 games in Short-Season ball in 2018. He was ranked by MLB.com as the Mariners' No. 10 prospect.

Jay Bell moving up the managerial ladder.

Jay Bell managed A-ball Tampa to a division title in 2017, and AA Trenton to the same in 2018, so he has a track record. His first time managing as high as AAA at age 53.
The guy who scored the winning run on that stomach-turning Luis Gonzalez bloop in 2001.

A little factoid about my favorite all time Yankee:

A little factoid about my favorite all time Yankee: it’s extremely difficult for me to wrap my brain about that exception in 1990. Mark McGwire a better fielder than Don Mattingly?...Mark McGwire better at anything than Don Mattingly? Okay, maybe chemistry...or zit popping...

It’s said that Cashman May be pursuing either Gio Gonzalez or Ervin Santana now to add depth.
Gonzalez sure had one terrific season, but it was in 2012. He’s been up and down since then, so who knows what value he’d add.
Santana has suddenly returned to effectiveness the past two seasons, but will be 36. He looked like he was shot about 4-5 years ago, but he’s hung in there and re established himself... but when will it end?...

It will end the second he puts on a Yankee uniform. I'd pass on Santana.

One of the reasons that you want to have a great farm system is so that you don't have to spend money on the likes of Gio Gonzalez or Ervin Santana. Just give one of the kids a chance!

It will end the second he puts on a Yankee uniform. I'd pass on Santana. I’d pass on both. I agree with Chi. Use a young guy. If he falters, try another. If st that point we still have an issue pitchers like Gio and Ervin can be picked up later on a slight overpay at worst...
