Trivia: Name the 3 guys who hit for the triple crown and have over 3,000 hits. Yaz is one of them Clowns at YES didn't give us enough time to guess. The other two were Ty Cobb & Najoie. I always forget about Yaz, as I believe he had the lowest batting average of any triple crown winner.

I think it was 1967, but I have to check. I was right and wrong. Yaz won the triple crown in 1967, but it was in 1968 that he won a batting title hitting .301, which was the lowest ever. He hit .326 in 1967. I knew Yaz was one of the answers. I thought, maybe Cobb, but he wasn't a HR hitter, but he triple crown anyway! I thought the other one was Frank Robinson.

The actual stat on Yaz was the lowest ba for a league batting titlist. He hit .301 in ‘68. If I’m not mistaken, Frank Robinson’s .316 is the lowest BA for a triple crown in ‘66. Yaz hit .326 in ‘67…
