Who will be the pitcher of record, talliban or the new pitcher for us in the bottom of the 7th? “Taliban” as you call him, is the pitcher of record. This rule hasn’t changed in a century or more. Maybe if you live to be 300, and baseball survives… nah. Ain’t gonna happen. Just ask us… sheesh…

I just don't understand how you get to decide what the base path is for you. If you can decide what your base path is then there is no base path. Technically… The runners are allowed a wide base path coming around third because their momentum carries them past the the painted line. It’s more or less become an unspoken, unwritten rule… In a run down it becomes more of a judgement play for the ump. He had a lot going on. Just accept it and move on, Russ…I don’t know if you noticed or not, but the run counted for our side… 😂 I found this on UmpireBible: "The first and most important thing to know about the base path is that there is no such thing as a base path (none exists) until a play is made on a runner. The base path is established when a fielder with the ball attempts to tag a runner. Then, and only then, is there a base path. And the base path is a straight line from the runner's position to the base to which he is advancing or retreating."

Seems like Castro pitches everyday. And always walks someone, but then he strikes a couple out and gets a pop up… Nasty stuff…

An apple a day keeps the IL away!

When I do that, I often catch up to see what others have said. Isn’t that nice of me?…
