9-1 stanton Home run. The judge home run changed the whole game. I contend it was when I came home from work. Those two events are not mutually exclusive. You might have come home when he hit the home run.

The lions really got cheated. The human ran outside the base path...

The lions really got cheated. The human ran outside the base path... But he was still quite tasty, in or out of bounds…

Classy move by the Blue Jays fan.
Take notes, dipshit Yankee fans in OF. Beautifully done.

Today in a baseball decides to make a guest appearance in this game thread because Ron Davis was mentioned during the game:
1981 Ron Davis establishes a major league mark for consecutive strikeouts by a reliever when he fans eight straight Angel batters in the Yankees' 4-2 victory over California. The right-handed reliever, entering the game in the bottom of the seventh inning, gets Don Baylor to pop up, and then he proceeds to strike out all of the other hitters he faces en route to his second save of the season.
******
Kind of reminds us of what is happening with King in the pen recently. Dominant work! …

Renfield, I don't remember him specifically being nicknamed The Vulture (I do recall Phil Regan having that soubriquet), but he did vulture his share of games. In 1979, pitching 85 innings, all in relief, he went 14-2. His son Ike had a few good years as a Mets first baseman. Ike played eight games for the Yankees in his final season of 2016.

I always thought he was called the Vulture because of his appearance, tall, lanky with a hooked beak. But with that record, the other definition of Vulture seems more aporpriate. Regan I only vaguely remember, but wasn't he the guy who slid into home and a tube or jar of vaseline fell out of his jacket?

So it's very plausible. It was actually Sandy Koufax who gave Regan that nickname during a Davis-like 14 win relief season. The coolest thing about Phil Regan was that he became the Mets' pitching coach when he was 82 years old.
