The term base hit is puzzling. Is there such a thing as a non-base hit? No. It’s simply a hit… MVP Harrison’s run prevention mark at 2B takes another jolt… 😂 A non base hit is an out. Its not a puzzling term, when you get a hit its a base hit. When you don't its a non base hit.

We usually own Hendricks. No DP Donaldson!

Randy Johnson won 34 games for the Yankees in two seasons at 41 and 42 years old, all the while needing back surgery, yet throwing over 430 innings. He beat the Red Sox six times in one season. In those two seasons, the Yankees had no fourth or fifth starter and essentially a two-man bullpen. And, Andy Phillips at first base. To me he was going through the motions to make money. I never got the sense he was trying at all or cared that he pitched as poorly as he did. He pretty much admitted that. You neglected to mention his ERA. He could have had back surgery and still made the same money on the DL, but he didn't. Pitching 430 plus innings is not going through the motions. I didn't neglect anything. What I wrote makes sense to most thinking individuals with knowledge of the game of baseball.

Since we still have 5 outs, it could be important to note that Hendricks has a high ERA (4.61) this year, allowing more than a hit per inning. Also, he tends to have about 25 or so of his best pitches, after that he can be tagged a bit easier… throws a lot of strikes though. We need to attack him THIS inning and just get rid of him…

You are willing to cite any evidence that most feel randy johnson performed well on the Yankees or tried hard. No one I have talked to agrees. Your opinion is just that although you tend to confuse it with reality.

Your opinion is just that although you tend to confuse it with reality. You have one thing correct - I cite evidence, which you never do. And, I can also read with comprehension, with which you struggle greatly. Also, I do not argue for the sake of being contrary, which you have admitted more than once that you do intentionally. My only confusion is how you continually cite erroneous data to base muddleheaded opinions, and then get angry when others disagree, though you say you like to argue with people just to have fun. Whose reality is skewed?

Ugly baseball with two k's with the tying run at third. Now we have two sub-200 hitters to score a run.
