Not to channel Noetsi, but my favorite hit of Carpenter was the bunt. I've been waiting for ten years to see someone aggressively adjust to the shift at the plate - and not as an afterthought. Carpenter knew exactly what he was going to do when he saw that shift. Agree. Here's the bunt if you didn't see it:

Had to run out and eat tonight. Not going to bother with Apple TV. No cell phone at the new lot, unless I have it where I’m planning to build. It’s that way a lot in the foothills of the Rockies… That's terrible news. No cell phones? So we're going to lose you on the forum? |

 I just belly-laughed reading that! What's the brand and the flavor? Nothing fancy. Cold Stone Birthday Cake Remix. I get it often when I feel like I deserve a treat.  Cold Stone is a much better name than Marble Slab, which sounds like an autopsy. |

Had to run out and eat tonight. Not going to bother with Apple TV. No cell phone at the new lot, unless I have it where I’m planning to build. It’s that way a lot in the foothills of the Rockies… If you get internet service at the new site, you can go to settings in the iPhone and use the internet to make and receive phone calls. It's what I do in the apartment I'm in - surrounded by woods and a lake and AT&T doesn't have reception on first floor (three levels above me). |
