Judge lollygagging out of the box leads to an out at second. Even in laughers, it's maddening not to play the right way. Either play hard or go sit down…

I had planned to announce my retirement from the forum upon my 30,000th post. It’s just time. Then I changed my mind. We’ll still have internet, from what I understand, so I can go back to computer posting. It may reduce my game a bit, maybe not. The lifestyle there is an important medicine for me. I’ll most likely have to shutter my business, or might find another solar company to sell leads for. I’m considering attempting to do something with Biotekt, the company that builds the houses, but I fear the commitment they would want would be too severe. If I can adjust our budget, full retirement coukd be in reach, but I’m not so sure I can pull that off. Plus, I do like getting out. But with gasoline prices what they are, the profitability of door to door sales is becoming so poor… No, there is not much chance I’ll be leaving the forum. I’ll likely withdraw from game threads, but I didn’t do them for many years… BTW: The lifestyle? Dark skies community Very little traffic Deer tracks in the yard Elk tracks in the yard Quiet. So quiet. Seldom hits 90 degrees in summer. Most of the 8 feet of snow there falls in spring/autumn. Even the winter snow doesn’t last at average 40 degrees with plenty of sunshine. Little traffic Dirt/gravel roads One poverty stricken town nearby w/grocery store One very pretty little mountain community nearby Our favorite Mexican Restaurant about 20 minutes away (Whoever thought I’d have a favorite Mexican Restaurant?) Less dust, less wind, less crime, way less traffic. I’m quite excited by the whole thing, along with this alternative build that will actually put us within the arms of nature, she who is the closest I know to god… Never leave Inger. Forum wouldn't be the same without you. Thank you for saying that Anthony. We’ll all be gone someday. You’re one of the youngest. I hope you don’t find yourself the Noetsi of the place (as he says he did at Fanhome) typing to yourself, amusing your self by calling the players names like “Big Nose”… Maybe forums will wake back up and become in style one day…

I understand the no traffic, quiet, and nature - I just do not like snow. The cold is fine for me, until it gets in the teens or twenties below zero. Anything above zero degrees, I don't even need much of a heater. I lose weight in that climate without even trying. Elk is supposedly the best tasting red meat there is. And, harvesting just one will keep you stocked for a year or more. Just need a freezer or an old time root cellar to store it. Also, I like sunsets on the horizon. Sheer drops off cliff roads ruin driving for me, as a clutch the steering wheel like I'm holding a wolf by the ears. Gas prices are awful. I'm thinking about moving to Dallas closer to where I work, so I don't have to keep gassing up for 100 bucks so often. Right now, I'm a little over thirty miles away, which isn't bad until you get into Dallas traffic, which still is no where near as bad as California traffic. Greta is getting so old, I don't want to uproot her again, though. And, I would need a first floor situation for her, too, which are difficult to come by. I like being next to a lake and surrounding by trees where I am, and still have all the stores and restaurants within a ten minute drive. Not that I have frequented many restaurants lately. The apartment complex is nice, too. Pretty much all professional people who keep to themselves and enjoy peace and quiet. And, I've got a huge soaking tub for my weekend bubble baths! You reminded me that were surprisingly close to a new but small hospital, a nice little state park that doesn’t get near the attention it should, and even a 9- hole golf course that’s only scantly used, should I decide or can find a way to attempt to play again. I’m going to keep my golf clubs just in case… Sll are within about 10–15 minutes, which kind of tells you how “State Parkish” our property will be…A much smaller house on a large lot that I will never use for much other than space to assure separation from my neighbors. If possible, I might never leave the property. But I will. No one can stay in all the time. BTW, those no guardrail cliff hanger hairpin turns are still among my favorites. I’ve driven over LaVeta Pass which will be nearby quite a few times, but never over the old dirt road “Old LaVeta Pass” that was utilized before the highway system came through with the interesting HWY 160. After going over the pass, we’ll be less than an hour from the Great Sand Dunes and the Alligator Farm…

They’ll just be yard decorations here, mostly during migration season. Deer will be more common. The bears usually only come around in severe drought years, preferring the mountains to the foot hills. Cougars will come and go as they please, such is the norm for any cat. Bobcats may frequent along with fox, badger, skunk, porcupine or anything else that enjoys pinion pine and cedar trees, there are few deciduous trees in the area. I’ve still only had elk burgers, but they are amazing. I can just imagine a (well done) elk steak. Maybe medium well. So little fat, it’s like bison. Your walking a fine line between cooking and drying it out. My burger was well done, but still juicy and tasty…

Somehow the starting pitching keeps getting better. Gerrit Cole has always been a team first guy and a leader, especially of the pitching staff. He seems to enjoy his fellow pitchers’ performances more than his own. I would have wanted to highlight Banuelos’ long, strange trip back also.

Are Kaybli and I the only ones who live in the NYC tristate area on this whole forum? I think Maize is local.

Yet it’s a strong indicator of the universal appeal of the franchise. I’d expect maybe a dozen locals from the NY area. I guess in the “old days” there were a few more of you… us hangers on are from everywhere.
