Gentlemen, summer has officially started in Dallas, Texas today. It's hotter than a preacher's dream out there today, and it's only June. Yeesh, I hate to think what late July and August will feel like.
Nice play by the Mushroom Man in centerfield to rob Stanton on a long fly at the top of the wall.

Trevino is such a solid defensive catcher. I've got to believe the pitching staff is ecstatic that Sandwich is gone.

It's unseasonably cool this weekend in Chicago, almost jeans weather in June. |

I prefer hotter than a preacher’s repressed daughter, but it’s 100 here today. For some unknown reason the swamp cooler went out when I was sleeping. Our technician decided to close his business so he could take a vacation. If you’re in the heating or cooling business, this time of year, nor winter is a smart time to take time off. Do it in spring, do it in fall. Do it when it’s not uncomfortable at all. Any way I got lucky. I shut the switch off and waited 15 minutes or so and turned it back on and it’s working. I can’t wait to see how little HVAC we’re going to use in the new place. Between being small and probably 60% underground, it’s said a 70% reduction (same size building) is normal. I hope to configure the garage almost 100% underground. Nice and cool here in the house. The dogs are spending only short periods of time outdoors… |
