I'm headed up to Jersey City to visit a friend and their newborn, so I'll miss this one. Let's go Yanks! Add another one to the victory column!

I hate it when you pick responsible, adult stuff to do… I remember when you would have to stop posting so your mom could change your diaper. Or was that me, with Ruthie changing mine? I know something used to happen… Have fun. Just don’t touch the baby. Newborns. Can’t toss them up in the air yet, or body slam them on the sofa without everybody getting upset. They leak out of every single orifice in there bodies constantly. Every fluid that can come out of a human being gets all over you, and sometimes it’s worse than fluids. I feel like you should be able to play the “hot potato” game with them…

I used to be able to see it from my apartment on West 57th Street and have several friends from there. Many times I took the train from Journal Square into the city. Home of those St. Peter's Peacocks, birthplace of Martha Stewart, Nancy Sinatra, Ozzie Nelson and NBA Hall of Famer Tom Heinsohn. Not to mention the Statue of Liberty! You should be able to have the game on in the background, right? In case the conversation lags a bit or the kid needs attention?

I think they cut the cable cord so unless I pull up the dots on my phone or see the pirated link I won't be able to watch. I'll do what I can.

No, no. That’s called an umbilical cord… it does not affect tv, radio, or cell phone reception. You need to make a baby of your own…

They'll put the game on for you. Also, bring a highlighter and when they aren't looking, color in the kid's fontanelles. Once they calm down, tell them it's a good luck ritual. You're still likely to get invited back, but you'll never have to babysit.

LOL, yea I'm always a little nervous around a newborn because I'm clumsy. Buy the tyke a little NY Yankee Pinstriped onesie. They'll put the game on for you. Also, bring a highlighter and when they aren't looking, color in the kid's fontanelles. Once they calm down, tell them it's a good luck ritual. You're still likely to get invited back, but you'll never have to babysit. What color highlighter? I needed a colored Sharpie to make changes on my floor plan. I know there are probably 42 assorted ones in the 16 junk drawers in this house, so I wasted an hour looking for one. Any color but black, because I’m overwriting what the engineer drew. Finally, I decided to run out to Wal-Mart to buy one. A blue one, red, green. Not black and no… not yellow. So of course Ruthie shouts out 23 other things we need as I’m running out the door. When I get to the rack of markers at Wal-mart, all I see is the 73-pack with 68 black markers and 5 assorted color markers. Shit. Finally I look near the bottom of the rack, and half covered by items reject by other shoppers, I see a five pack with 2 black markers, a red, a green, and a blue. Only $4.50, but it still amazes me that you can’t just buy the one you want anymore for like $1.89. Rant of the day over… Although they didn’t have our brand of dog food, so I came home and made my first ever order off Chewy.com. The food came today. Wal-mart hasn’t had it the past 5 weeks… I bought two 30 pound bags to get free shipping… Rant over…
