Has anyone really thought about the term "shitstorm" or "where the shit hit the fan"? Today, I came home to Gretagirl having had an unfortunate - what seems to be - series of stomach troubles. I put her doggie diaper on before I left for work, and it was on the bed having been filled and abandoned. I am now washing the comforter for the first go round - it may take two or three washes, and I have gotten on my hands and knees scrubbing my favorite area rugs with disinfectant wipes and a bevy of cleaning products. I am about to go to Walmart to purchase a rug/carpet cleaner. Not what I wanted to spend my money on, but it may be the tool I need to fight the after affects of the super storm - one of those 100 year shit storms. I can tell she feels bad, she keeps following me around with her head down. She will need a bath tonight as well. Ugh, not what you want to do after work when the Yankees are playing. Ugh, oh man what an unfortunate series of events. Hope Gretagirl feels better! It I had to guess, she got it ALL out of her system. |

Ugh, oh man what an unfortunate series of events. Hope Gretagirl feels better! It I had to guess, she got it ALL out of her system. That's my biggest fear with owning a dog. Having to clean up their poop if they have an accident. Me and poop don't mix well. |

The first inning is usually the litmus test for Cole. He may figure it out in the second or third, or he may struggle the rest of the night. Normally, though, if he is on in the first, it's just a matter of how many runs the Yankees will give him.

Sorry that you have to deal with such a mess Rizz. Hope both you and Greta get through this quickly. It's better than what Desouza has had to go through the past week. Also, this is not the first time I've come home to cleaning duties - just much different in scale and areas affected. |

Owning a dog always involves a certain amount of property damage and illness. But you get paid back many times over. Indeed. Dogs are such a gift. Without exaggeration, Greta has kept me alive these past three plus years and at least once a day brings a smile to my face and genuine laughter. The least I can do is pick up after her at age 13. I took her to the vet last week, and the doctor reminded me that Mastiffs do not usually live this long. "I know," was all I could say. |
