So, the Yanks are now 4-0 during this stretch of 13 games against teams with winning records. They just keep getting better as the season goes on.

I had a quick appointment this afternoon. Then I took Ruthie to the Golden Corral so she wouldn’t have to cook, since our swamp cooler has been acting up. I got home in time for the bottom of the first inning, but I was so tired that I was half asleep during the 8-run fifth. When Rizzo hit the salami I was like… “huh? Wha? The bases were loaded?” So.. here I am. Our dumpster came today, which is a big key to our preparation for the painter, as well as our downsizing. Ruthie came outside and asked me to stop throwing things away so the neighbors could sleep.
When they delivered this thing I was shocked! A 30 yard dumpster? Really? I asked for a 20 yard, but they said they charge the same price for any size. I won’t be running out of room in this thing…

I don’t care for their steak much. I generally hit up the fried chicken, a bit of bourbon street chicken, shrimp, baked beans. Then I mood around for something like barbecued or pulled pork. I go heavy on the meats, so I get my money’s worth for certain. Not filling this lad up with taters and biscuits. I generally get two plates and then finish off with a nice sized serving of soft serve ice cream. But since I’m behaving, for the first time I can recall (except when the ice cream machine was broken) I had a nice serving of Jello with whipped topping this time…I did scarf down a couple cookies… |
