That would have cleared the left center field fence of Yankee Stadium that Joe DiMaggio played in by 3 feet. Gives you an idea why Joe D. does not have overwhelming home run stats. Thats just ridiculous. Always blows my mind they played in such cavernous dimensions. JoeD was robbed. Death Valley indeed. |

He batted .334 on the road and .316 at home. Plus he missed about three seasons because of World War II. Put him in a more neutral park and give him those three prime years in his late 20s and he would have hit over 500 home runs. |

Did anyone notice in the last game against the Astros that Aroldis Chapman had his best outing in a long time? He was around the plate consistently, no lawn darts or catcher jumping up to stab an errant fastball. He also used a couple nice forkballs. He looked like his mechanics are just about there again.
