Sorry you had to come upon this slop Rizz. Yep, Cash is one of those masters of 5-D chess. I'm getting real sick of Cashman thinking he's the smartest guy in the room. His arrogance pissed off Jeter in The Captain too. Cashman makes a lot of good moves and in some ways is a good GM. But he seems like a real a-hole as a person. Even at the time his remarks about Jeter really pissed me off.

IKF wasnt even at 3rd by time the cutoff man had the ball and Rojas was waving him home already I just don't get it obviously no guarantee Rizzo gets a hit but odds are higher he does than say Donaldson was coming up no need for the risk there it makes no sense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

His arrogance pissed off Jeter in The Captain too. When Cashman introduced the signing of Jeter's last contract by saying, "Welcome, back," Jeter looked at Cashman with the coldest of stares and simply remarked, "I never left." Jeter had made it known that he was not going to play for any other franchise, that he would not entertain offers from other teams, and that he wanted to keep negotiations private. Cashman openly told Jeter in the press to test the market to see what he was worth and pontificated about the negotiations at every opportunity. Jeter, I am sure, took that as dishonest and disloyal. As a Yankee fan, I did too.

What does that stand for again? I can never recall. Thrown Out On The Bases Like A Nincompoop! I forget who coined it but all the baseball nerds love using it. I understand it last year they were having problems scoring runs and if the other team scored even 2 runs it was almost impossible to win sometimes so they had to try to make things happen which was going to lead to more baserunning mistakes, but this year when you have fixed the offense what is the need for some of these risky base running decisions?

It seems the analytics department, their new Tampa pitcher training facility, and pitching coaches are more integral to some of the finds like Holmes and Luetge. Justin Wilson and Darren O'Day seem more like the Cashman moves of the 2000s and 2010s. Cashman at GM has never won anything without Stick Michael's group, including 2009 when Derek Jeter led the team in WAR. Who didn't want CC Sabathia and Mark Teixiera in free agency?

Sorry you had to come upon this slop Rizz. Yep, Cash is one of those masters of 5-D chess. I took the day off today. Wasn't feeling well. Perhaps Montitis of the trade valve. Ugh, why send IKF there with Rizzo coming up? I can almost hear your valve flapping wildly through the phone Rizz. Read a few chapters of Boethius and that should clear right up.

Also not immense cause for panic, but if the Blue Jays win today they would cut the division lead to 10 and you have a 4 game series vs them in 2 weeks. You really don't want them cutting that down to 6 or 7 games before then so its important to get some wins on this road trip in STL and SEA, because you never know what to expect in Boston or against the Rays.

I am in no way saying the Yankees can't win this game though, but would feel better if they can make it to at least 6-4 soon.
