Cole has slow feet on his throws to first. Guys like Severino and Eovaldi are much better athletes in that regard. I actually hoped we might try to get Eovaldi back at the trade deadline.

Cole may actually get through five or six.

You really boiled it down to the basics A-Man. without the sticky stuff he sucks, he should donate his paycheck to the homeless or something because he is not earning it with his pitching.

So, Cole gives up six runs in the first and nothing since? It seems like when he is bad it is one horrible inning or one specific player that owns him. I did notice that hit by Frazier (who has turned into Ted Williams against us) last inning was a pitch that leaked over the fat of the plate.

I agree he has not pitched remotely like an ace this year. He has occasional games where he looks like one, but way too often he has a horrendous stretch that a genuine ace does not have. He is not giving the Yankees what they paid for.

its always one bad inning for Cole. Yep. But he can't do that in a post-season game against the other team's ace.

Castillo just cruising along like an Ace. whiff whiff after whiff This lineup today doesn't help the Yankees either. Have the guy who hits 4 HR in the last 4 games lead off instead of in an RBI spot in the order, sit the guy with 43 HR, have DONALDSON at clean up? Like wtf.

Gleyber is at least 0 for his last 12, but could be 0-16, depending upon which at bat he had his last hit in the game he was 1-5. That's why having him pinch hit last night was futile. He is just not seeing the ball lately.
