HUGE BRAVO TO JUDGE!!!
Tequila thinks there will be a THREE-WAY tie for A.L. MVP = Judge naturally being one of the Players./
Tell Tequila to lay off the hard stuff. Judge might be the easiest choice for MVP in my lifetime. Now, if he said 3 choices for the N.L MVP, I'd understand, I have no idea who's going to win that one.

A walk season for the ages.
That’s what Aaron Judge had in 2022, with the New York Yankees slugger hitting an American League single-season record 62 home runs and making a run at the Triple Crown as free agency looms after the World Series.
Judge, you may remember, rejected a seven-year, $213.5 million contract before Opening Day and will hit the open market after the season.
YES Network Yankees play-by-play announcer Michael Kay told Dan Patrick that Judge “probably made himself over $100 million more, so that’s significant. Now how does that impact signing with Yankees? I’d say he’s still the odds-on favorite to go back to the Yankees, but I think it opens up a lot of other bidders.”
ESPN’s Buster Olney forecasted the field of bidders for Judge during an appearance Wednesday on “Get Up” and Yankees fans won’t like what he had to say.
“The contract he’s going to get in the offseason is going to start with the number three, as in $300 million. ... I think the pressure on the Yankees is going to be so great that they’re going to have to blow up their typical conservatism and they’re going to have to make him a huge offer. I can tell you this, people around baseball are skeptical that he would leave the Yankees, that they would actually let him leave. That said, there is going to be an opportunity for an inspired owner of another team, maybe it’s the Giants, to jump in with a big number. ... Aaron Judge would absolutely fit perfectly for what the Mets need. Owner Steve Cohen knows that his team needs a big injection of power and there’s no bigger injection of power in baseball these days than Aaron Judge.”
But wait, there’s more from Olney, per WFAN:
“I do think a team will jump in with a bigger number than what the Yankees are going to offer. I think that number is going to come from the San Francisco Giants. ... (But) I generally share the skepticism of a lot of executives with other teams that he actually will leave the Yankees, that the Yankees will let him get away. ... I’m going to say 60/40 that he stays with the Yankees.”

I think it’s about 75.% the Yanks sign Judge. I’m not certain that the number will start with a three, unless it’s follow by a 75, as in $375…

Mets’ Jacob deGrom, Yankees’ Aaron Judge trading places in free agency?
Not a trade most of us would want, although I'd be happy to take deGrom off their hands. It's hard to see anyone outbidding Steve Cohen if he really wants to keep deGrom. Practically every significant Mets pitcher other than Scherzer is headed for free agency, and Scherzer turns 39 next year. In addition to deGrom, Chris Bassitt, Taijuan Walker, Carlos Carrasco, Edwin Diaz, Seth Lugo, Adam Ottavino and several other pitchers can walk. The Mets have a lot of patchwork to do if they hope to stay at this level.

Well he did mention again he's made it clear he wants to be here again but non committal otherwise.
I guess we can just change this title to just the Aaron Judge thread or whatever if you want.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I’ll start a new Judge thread for his free agency. Best not to spoil the 62 HR thread. It was spoiled when Judge hit .063/.118/.063/.182 in the ALCS. That is unbelievable to me. Not that he wasn't hitting in a four game series, but that he wasn't even drawing walks. It was a dreadful performance, made worse by the gaffe in the outfield that led to one Astro win.
