Here's what I don't get. If you pitch every five days, they limit your pitches to keep you fresh. But when you are given a break like German had, they limit your pitches when you return because you need to slowly build back up.

But no matter, Boone will stick to the script and keep anyone but Cole from approaching 100 pitches so that they will be fresh heading into 2023. |

Nolan Ryan could throw 150 pitches at 100 MPH when he was in his forties, but that was because he was out of shape and you can't pull fat. At least that's how it's explained to me. |

When they show that clip of Maris rounding third and coach Frankie Crosetti slaps him on the back, that was considered an emotional outburst at the time. How times have changed.
