So Verlander can give up 5 + runs to the Mariners and Phillies, but against the Yankees he's HOF mode 1 run. Also Phillies can come back from 5-0 no problem while Yankees 3-0 is too much. We could have been hitting against Renfield right now, in his old college Wake Forest uniform, and we still may not have overcome the three run deficit. When this team is not hitting, it doesn't seem to matter who is pitching. Unfortunately, it was the Astros and the lowest ERA in MLB. The only couple hitters on this team who can scratch out a hit or put the ball in play when they are struggling offensively are Anthony Rizzo and maybe IKF. Everyone else is a strikeout machine when the bat is cold. No real situational approach by anyone other than those two.

You might not like this...but here are the bets I made on who I thought might/would win the WS in 2022.
Here are just some of the bets I made these bets in Dec. 2021 & Jan. 2022.
Astros 16-1 Braves 18-1 Blue Jays 30-1 Cardinals 40-1 Mariners 55-1 Angels 60-1 Miami 80-1 White Sox 18-1 TB 16-1
The only team I got left are the Astros at 16-1 go figure...
Initially didn't bet against or for the Yankees. But did make a late season bet against them that they would not Win the WS...go figure.
Even if Houston takes the WS; I will still lose $$$ this year on MLB...go figure.

Watching the Series and I must say it's fun watching McCullers and Astros getting hammered.

Such a great pleasure to see the Jays massive choke job in Vladdy's house. You just knew their bullpen would implode some time in the playoffs. Let's hope the M's can give the Astros all they can handle. In the Guardians and Rays game, I noticed there were 39 K's, including one guy on each team who struck out 5 times. Too bad the Pads couldn't close out the Mets. Maybe today. Hated to see the Cards lose. The Phillies might be one of those underdog teams that goes a long way in the playoffs. Am I a psychic? No chance, I just figured there's usually one underdog who goes far. They had that energy against the Cards. Although, I may not be a psychic, Forgive me if I've told you before, but I did have my own paranormal investigative group. It was called Vermont Spirits Detective Agency, "The Private Eye, for Those Who've Died".

And nice to see the Phillies lay the beat down on the Trashtros. Hopefully it continues.

I know it's far from over, but Phillies are using their homefield advantage like the Yanks used to.

I know it's far from over, but Phillies are using their homefield advantage like the Yanks used to. As usual, no Yankees, no watch for me. But I did stop on the channel long enough to see 7-0 in the seventh with a Phillies rally brewing. It felt righteous…
