5 of the 6 Yankees relievers didn't even give up a hit... Sounds like Boone got a lesson from Francona on bullpen management in the playoffs. This isn't the regular season, elite relievers don't need to be removed from the game after 15 pitches.

I didn't get to see the game, but:
6 for 36 0 - 7 with RSIP 15 Strikeouts
That's not going to get it done in the post season.

Yes, we've seen this movie before. The always seem to draw a lot of walks but can't get the big hit when you really need it.

Yea I still think they get by this series since Cleveland doesn't score much but you can't play like that vs Houston. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wasn't aware there are no off days in this series now I'm sure that got to Boone's head

Healthy Benintendi and DJ woulda helped wrt this, they are two big losses in the lineup on both sides of the ball. Sounds Like Benny would be avail in ALCS, DJ is a shell of himself due to this foot injury. Thought at 2-0, 2 on and 1 out, Stanton K and then if the Donaldson liner woulda dropped to make it 4-0, hard time seeing CLE come back from that. Big missed opportunity to get ahead and put the foot down early.

What'd I miss? Yankee bats falling asleep after the first, bad defense, unlucky bloops. Let's turn this thing around tomorrow.

Not that it helps the Yankees, but the Dodgers are zero for their last 19 with RISP and on the verge of elimination by a team they have owned for the last two seasons. There actually could be a Padres - Phillies NLCS.

Had to drive 3 1/2 hours for a presurgery Covid test. Having lunch and watching the game at the Thisty Moose Taphousein Dover, NH before we heading home. Sounds like a good place to watch a game and have lunch, Matt. Dover is a nice little town. We used to drop in from Portsmouth back in the day, and I remember thinking they had done a nice job renovating the old mills. All the best to you with this latest surgery. I know it must be grueling. Hope the Yanks send you off with some big wins. Dover is a nice little town, but unfortunately the Thirsty Moose wasn't very good. Gloria and I love taking overnight trips visiting New England towns, getting a hotel downtown so we can walk for hours (her choice) to look at the old architecture while I scout restaurants, breweries and distilleries. We came right home yesterday, but may have to take a couple days to revisit Dover and then right down the road Portsmouth. Thanks pipps. Staying positive because I should be cancer free in a couple of days.

Staying positive because I should be cancer free in a couple of days. You and Gloria have jointly hit upon the perfect approach for visiting these towns. Cover all the bases. The older I get, the more I love basing in a nice small to mid -size town and exploring. New England is loaded with them. Sometimes we would just want to stay in Lexington or Concord or Lowell or Sudbury or Marblehead rather than full speed Boston. Different experiences. Ready to see you back cancer-free and charging through this beautiful October.
