Either way, I’m on the sidelines. We even had to postpone our Internet hook up because we can’t find the wires for the computer. We originally had the boxes somewhat organized together, but the movers did some reloading and shuffling of the boxes. Still around 100 boxes crammed in the guest room. Still about 100 pieces outside in front of the house in a Sanford and Son-like display of our worst belongings.
I’d hate this if I didn’t love it so much… 😂

I’d hate this if I didn’t love it so much… 😂 Is there is no place within convenient driving distance from which you could watch this game? I am guessing from your descriptions that the nearest sports bar is several counties away. |

Well that means if this Series goes to four or five games, the Yankees will have to decide if they want to go with Cole on full rest on Sunday or save him with extra rest in case it goes to Monday, which also affects the rotation for the ALCS. Naturally that depends on whether or not the Yankees are up 2-1 or down 2-1. It also makes it highly unlikely that Cleveland could come back with Bieber on short rest if it goes five, because now he would only have two days off. This can all be avoided with a nice clean sweep. |

Does anyone know the purpose of having a day off following game number one? I assume it was to accommodate the networks so that they could alternate ALDS days with NLDS days. There's no baseball-related logical reason. |

Probably 10-12 miles, but will they even HAVE the Yankees on their tv vs. perhaps cat juggling at the college? And I don’t care for bars. It’s hard to justify 3.75 hours of sitting on my ass with all the work I need to do here. I’m also worn out to the bone tired anyway, and might smack somebody 3x bigger and stronger than me if they talk smack about the Yankees. Plus, we’re waiting here. A handy man, a plumber, an HVAC guy, and the propane delivery. All will arrive without prior notice. Actually I half expect them all to be a guy named “Mr. Haney”… |
