Ultimately it's always on ownership and the front office. They put this together. Barring a miraculous comeback, the Yankees will equal their longest World Series drought, 13 years, since the signing of Babe Ruth. That stretch went from 82 through 94, and of course there was no WS in 94, so really this is the longest. For years the problem was not enough pitching and now they seem to have a good starting rotation but the offense while leading the league in multiple offensive categories still lacks consistently. Now they have to pay all this money just to keep Judge which doesn't help either. Also I've had enough of Donaldson and his 1000 mistakes and laughing at them like it's no big deal. Basically, this team was built to do two things offensively walk and hit home runs. And that is what it does. I don't think you can win WS that way, but management does |
