I would have thought Boone would have gone to Loaisiga to relieve Cole. Strikeout stuff and double-play sinker.

And he's their number four starter. I hate how their team has been so good for 6 years, but at the same time they only have won one World Series and other teams in our division beat them so they aren't unbeatable. For the Yankees though it's never good enough to beat them. we lasted longer than the Mets, Dodgers and Braves so there is that. I wish we had more team speed

You look too much at numbers. Baseball players are habitual. If you take them out of their roles they usually start struggling. The first game was 1-1 in Houston with Verlander OUT Of the game. Instead of going to the better relievers he leaves in Clarke Schmidt who blows it, then he brings in more non elite receivers that blow it more. The Yankees scored 1 more run in that game. If they put in their elite relievers instead maybe they win 2-1 instead. You can't expect to score an insane amount of runs against the pitching staffs of the Guardians and Astros. Those are games you need to win 4-2 or something. I am a statistician...so yes I focus on the numbers I think the problem is with of our batters not our pitchers The problem is whoever is influencing Boone to make these decisions. They had the same problems under girardi so I can't fully blame Boone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes he did. Although I assume the first two were unearned. Actually Bader didn't deserve an error, it should have been on Judge because he caused it. They were unearned. I put the error on Boone. If Stanton is in right field and Judge in center, that doesn't happen. Is that a stretch...yes, but Boone allows that kind of elasticity. The Yankees put Stanton in LF to make room at DH for an injured guy who right now can't put the ball in play. This is the ALCS, not some games in the dog days of August.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Ultimately it's always on ownership and the front office. They put this together. Barring a miraculous comeback, the Yankees will equal their longest World Series drought, 13 years, since the signing of Babe Ruth. That stretch went from 82 through 94, and of course there was no WS in 94, so really this is the longest.

Amazing because some of those years were lean with some really unbalanced rosters, in terms of hitting vs. pitching. These recent years have been one or two players away, but we can thank the Yankees for staying under the luxury tax and showing restraint by allowing other teams to outspend them. Something that all baseball fans hope for with the teams they root for day in and day out, from boyhood to old age.

For years the problem was not enough pitching and now they seem to have a good starting rotation but the offense while leading the league in multiple offensive categories still lacks consistently. Now they have to pay all this money just to keep Judge which doesn't help either. Also I've had enough of Donaldson and his 1000 mistakes and laughing at them like it's no big deal. We'll like I said what annoys me is while the Astros are obviously elite both the Rays and Red Sox have both beat them the ALCS in recent years. So they aren't unbeatable. The other thing is it's not like the Yankees are a bad team I've said all year they are better than any team in the AL than Houston and they've proved that over and over. However just like the Angels the same thing keeps happening and I'm like the Angels Houston only has one world series to show for it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
