These judge reports all tell us nothing. A team went a 9th year we dunno which one other teams might be interested. Giants probably made an offer who knows how much it is or if it even exists.

The Padres’ offer to Turner was not only higher than the offer he accepted from Philadelphia but would have made Turner the highest-paid infielder in baseball, topping Francisco Lindor’s $341MM deal with the Mets, reports ESPN’s Buster Olney. The exact length of the contract, potential deferrals, etc. aren’t known at this time, but it’s a nevertheless jarring follow-up revelation in the wake of the Phillies’ deal with Turner. Lindor’s contract is currently the third-largest guarantee in Major League history.

Nimmo is arguably better than Benintendi. He’s one of the best OBP guys in MLB with a .385 mark. While Benintendi gets raves for his LF defense, Nimmo is a CF. His lefty bat could benefit by moving across town…
