If he's the real deal, this is a bargain compared to some of the other contracts we're seeing.

Yankees preparing offer to Carlos Rodon in another battle with Giants
The battle for left-hander Carlos Rodon – the top remaining free agent starter – may come down to yet another competition between New York and San Francisco (though there are believed to be a few other teams in the mix, as well). The Yankees are preparing to make an offer to Rodon, their top remaining target, and seem hopeful, or perhaps even optimistic, which shouldn’t come as a surprise the way this winter has gone.
Though the Yankees liked Rodon from the start, Judge is partly behind this pursuit, as he told managing partner Hal Steinbrenner upon agreeing to his $360 million deal that he would like to see a couple of improvements. The Yankees would love to please Judge, who took less money than he could have gotten in San Diego or presumably San Francisco, which set the number with that very offer but presumably could have gone higher.

Have not heard that we offered anything for him. Mets aggressiveness has to enliven their fans. Yankees will have to pay twice as much for Rodon.

I wonder why WE didn't sign Senga for ONLY $15M a year; let me think = Oh right = CASH!!!

To be fair, we’re over budget. To be less fair, the budget is an imaginary boundary set by people that are driven by wanting to make a ridiculous profit…

3 teams that will regret not signing Kodai Senga while they had the chance
...Yankees should’ve signed Kodai Senga
The Yankees remain entrenched in the battle for Carlos Rodon, but they could’ve taken an early exit to sign Kodai Senga to less money. When you consider Hal Steinbrenner just spent $360 million long-term on Aaron Judge, it makes much more sense.
New York still needs a frontline rotation starter and a corner outfielder, and that’s just to contend in the American League. If they hope to take a step forward, signing another star like Carlos Correa would be a great start, but let’s not kid ourselves.
Senga would’ve offered the Yankees more flexibility than what they currently have. As great as Carlos Rodon is, the Yankees already have a rotation full of injury-prone starters. Is adding another to the mix really a smart decision?
New York lost Jameson Taillon this offseason. There’s a clear hole in the middle of the rotation. If they doubted Senga’s transition to the MLB level, then that’s one thing. To not reach his rather cheap demands (as compared to the rest of the market) is another.

That reminds me of Masahiro Tanaka's split-finger before the UCL tear. If he is able to adjust to the larger baseball and the lack of tackiness out of the box, he will be a bargain. Kudos to the Mets.
