Poor IKF. Nice guy and good teammate catching all this grief because his GM and manager are nitwits.

Hicks can certainly bat from both sides of the plate; he just can't hit from either.
I would go with Cabrera in LF= Down the stretch, Cabrera played in 44 games, slashing .247/.312/.429 with six home runs while appearing in every position bar center-field and catcher.
Despite having played just 34 outfield innings in the minors, Cabrera spent the bulk of his big league time in the corner spots, impressing to the tune of 9 Defensive Runs Saved in 278 2/3 innings. While Cabrera certainly put a strong case forward to be an everyday outfielder going forward, he may have more value to the Yankees as utility-type given his ability to play just about any position.
But I also would sign to a 1-year deal Mancini (could be b-u for 1B too). Or have Florial as b-u LF
Peralta/Trey Mancini/Andrew McCutchen: The free agent market for left-fielders has been largely cleared out, but if the Yankees were to go down that path this trio of hitters would likely be the best remaining options. With perhaps the exception of Mancini, they could likely have these players on one-year deals. Peralta’s left-handedness could make him more appealing in Yankee Stadium, but ultimately all three have limitations that make it unlikely the Yankees would go down this route. At the end of the day, if the Yankees are to upgrade left field it’d surely be for someone that vastly improves their current options. The trade market certainly has those options, but it doesn’t appear that free agency does anymore.
What did Josh Harrison do to you? Don’t you want him any more?…

Signing Calhoun and McKinney shows all you need to know about the Yanks OF talent at triple A, it's not good.

"entertain trade offers" How much could San Diego expect for a guy who hit .184 with a .284 OBP and struck out 150 times? Florial could put up those numbers.

Will he stay or go? Here's what is next for Trevor Bauer and the Dodgers.
...The other teams could wait to see whether the Dodgers release him, in which case they could sign Bauer for the league minimum $720,000, with the Dodgers responsible for the remainder of his salary.
...The Bauer decision ultimately rests with Mark Walter, the Dodgers’ chairman and controlling owner. In 2015, under Walter’s ownership, the Dodgers backed away from a proposed trade for pitcher Aroldis Chapman after allegations of domestic violence surfaced against him.
MLB Power Rankings: 15 best free agents next winter and who should steal them
...3) MLB Power Rankings: 2024 free agent Manny Machado
The opt out in Manny Machado's contract is likely to get flexed next offseason. The San Diego Padres have plenty of other high-profile players to think about retaining. Machado could be on his way out. A couple of teams should chase after him, including this one American League contender.
In their attempt to not waste all of the talented youth, the Chicago White Sox should be the team to snag Machado when he becomes a free agent. Unless they have plans of targeting someone else, it's pretty important for the White Sox to make a valiant attempt at someone of Machado's caliber. His experience and overall MVP-caliber performance is can't miss. He won't be the highest-priced free agent which will allow them to add other pieces around him.
...9) MLB Power Rankings: 2024 free agent Matt Chapman
Matt Chapman has something to prove this season. He didn't win a Gold Glove in 2022 with the Toronto Blue Jays. His offensive numbers, while slightly better than the year prior, weren't quite what we know he can do. His elite glove and great power potential should still put him in line to receive a nice contract. There is one team that could make a lot of sense to swipe him away from the Blue Jays.
The New York Yankees will be able to move on from Josh Donaldson after the 2023 season. The third base vacancy can allow them to pivot toward Chapman. He'll be the third best at the position available in free agency. Given how much the Yankees have already invested in other areas, coming up with the third-best is realistic.
