Again he's mentioned he's made himself and intentions clear. We will see if ownership and Cashman get the message.

I know it's not a big deal, but I noticed he wasn't wearing a Yankees cap in his after game interview. Looked weird.

The real question is what will the Yankees offer? I can’t see them possibly doing any better than 8/330-350. Even that may be pushing it

Aaron Judge is going to get a huge contract no matter who he signs with. Heck he made $29 million the last two years. He had a lousy offensive post season but he carried us all year and his defense was outstanding. No telling how many runners didn't advance a base because they feared his arm. I would be a little surprised if he is with the Yankee's next year. I believe it is just a matter of the Steinbrenner's willingness to just bite the bullet and pay him what he wants or he will walk. I am not saying they should or should not but if he signs a 9-10 year deal I believe the last few of those we will have Gary Stanton all over again. Except Judge will still play in the field.

I know it's not a big deal, but I noticed he wasn't wearing a Yankees cap in his after game interview. Looked weird. I know all agents tell the players they represent to do so, but I consider that kind of crass to the original fan base so soon after a loss. I think the Dodgers or the Giants may swoop in. Can you imagine if the Angels decided to have a trio of Judge, Trout, and Ohtani? They still wouldn't win. Closest to home (Linden, CA) for Judge would be the Giants. So, I'll predict he'll end up there. Why would the Yankees stray from their self-congratulatory, self-defeating, self-imposed budget? Especially, when they've had so much success with Locastro, Donaldson, Hicks, Troutman, Davis, Shane Robinson, Odor, Marwin, etc. Certainly, it is preferable to pay eight or ten salary-friendly flameouts than to put all your money into one superstar? Look at how that worked out with Bryce Harper.

If he signs, Hal will not incur another FA expense and the Yankees still won't win a WS. Personally I think he moves on, he smart, said all the right things during the season, but he wants to play somewhere else. Nice season for him but he'll never come close to reproducing it in the future or staying healthy like he did.

Nice season for him but he'll never come close to reproducing it in the future or staying healthy like he did. Judge has had only three mostly-healthy seasons in his seven years as a Yankee, and going into his age 31 season that is unlikely to improve. On the one hand, letting Judge walk would be a public relations nightmare for the Yankees. He is by far the most popular player on the team and the Yanks sell a lot of Judge merchandise. He has a dream persona and like Jeter is a perfect face of the team. However, whoever signs him is almost certainly getting a bad contract based on what he's already turned down. We can't know of course, but it's hard to imagine a 37 or 38 year old Aaron Judge being worth $40 million a year or whatever it takes. You'd be hoping for three or four healthy productive seasons and writing off the rest. It is a bit of a sticky wicket for the geniuses who run the team, but they could have averted it with better planning.

My thinking is that we should make a reasonable offer, probably in the $350M-$375M range for 8-10 years. If he refuses, let him go. Then, to placate the public relations disaster, spend an equal amount on multiple free agents… more garbage bin material… because if you want multiple players for that money, that’s what you get in today’s game…
