Via Curry
But, as of late Tuesday night, the Yankees weren’t sure if Judge would be back or if he would sign with the San Francisco Giants or another team. I spoke with multiple Yankee officials and they were all searching for some clues and some answers. One of them even pressed his palms together to indicate he was saying a prayer.
When Steinbrenner, who is in Italy, spoke with Judge, who was in San Diego, in the wee hours of Wednesday, the owner asked the 30-year old if he still wanted to be a Yankee. Judge confirmed that he did. At that point, the Yankees had offered Judge an eight-year, $320 million deal. Judge told Steinbrenner that he had a 10-year, $400 million offer from the San Diego Padres. After hearing that, Steinbrenner quickly boosted the Yankees’ offer and a tentative agreement was reached. The deal is pending a physical.

So after hearing all these interviews I have to say anyone that isn't Passan, Michael Kay, and Jack Curry are full of crap.
Judge made it sound pretty clear here him and his wife both agreed nothing else felt right after pitches from other teams "We're Yankees."
Passan said from the beginning there was nothing from any information he had that would make him believe Judge would sign elsewhere.
Yet we get people like. Morosi who had the Giants as high as 50% and Heyman who had it signed and sealed.
