PECOTA Standings Projection - Yankees best in baseball at 99-63
Hey buddy: Hate to disagree but I KNOW (with Tequila's help/onsight) that the Yankees will get only 89 wins...maybe ast best 91 wins.
WHY?
--Donaldson will continue to struggle offense wise as the Yanks/Cash refuse to just CUT/TRADE HIM. --Hicks = likewise, See above. --Stanton will be injured at least twice this season and again will struggle with offense.
--We are looking LIKE going into the season with two SP injured. --Injuries to various players thru the season
--Boone and his poor mgt. decisions = Line-up/BP
--Lack of Hustle by Torres --Good BP but with ONLY one Lefty.
THERE IS NO WAY THE YANKS WILL HAVE THE BEST RECORD OR MOST WINS IN MLB THIS SEASON.

Count how many times Oswaldo Cabrera = Shit, he could probably also play GM & Manager!!!
PECOTA takes all of this into consideration, and does so for all 30 teams. Every team has players on the way up and on the way down. Players that will get injured, even released. I have no doubts this team can be at the top of the AL east… |

Do the bigger first bases start at the same the same place on the diamond. I assume so because you wouldn't want to make it easier to get infield hits, but you never know with Manfred. |

It is a great time to learn another position while Rizzo is on the team. We know that Judge is a fine athlete and a huge target at first base. When Rizzo retires, it would be a smart long-term option to have Judge as a potential replacement.  I didn't know that Judge played first base in high school. Of course, Ba-Boone is quoted as saying, "There's nothing there." Something we have been saying about the Yankee skipper for too long. |

Thats a good question. I'm not sure. I’m guessing that they are centered where the previously were, and part of the design is to increase offense, as well as base-stealing. When something has worked for over 150 years you have to be an idiot to want to redesign it. If there had been one aspect of baseball that was perfect, it’s been the measurement between the bases. So many split-second calls at first. The pitcher-catcher-baserunner relationship also resulting in many close calls. Look what they’ve done to my song, Ma! I’ll go on record as calling this a bigger travesty than the Manfred Man… |
