A GOOD TRUTHFUL READ:
The Yankees can’t think the same old formula will work this time
(AH, BUT THEY DO!!! SO SAD that they will for the most part make the similar decisions/take similar actions yet expecting better results = GIGGLING).
Or maybe, just maybe Judge and Stanton will be hot in the post season and turn the entire theory of this article to mush…

(AH, BUT THEY DO!!! SO SAD that they will for the most part make the similar decisions/take similar actions yet expecting better results = GIGGLING).
Or maybe, just maybe Judge and Stanton will be hot in the post season and turn the entire theory of this article to mush… Excuse me, but they got to get to the Post Season first--YES, I have doubts at this point. Why?
I see at LEAST ONE other starting pitcher with serious injury; Pick em = Serv Or Rondon OR even Cole.
I see Stanton constantly in/out with injuries and out by Post Season; along with Rizzo (ah my back hurts).
I see Hicks & Donaldson both barely hitting over .200 BA and off/on with injuries constantly (oh my fingers hurt; oh my toes hurt)
Lack of more than one lefty in BP will come back to haunt us
Torres lack of hustle and smarts on the base paths
Mgt will have no choice but to turm the remaining and/or latter part of the season over to Prospects, who will do OK but not enough to make the Post Season. But they will be ready for 2024...If Cash doesn't screw it up.
Cash will say at the end of 2023 "Facing the Obstacles we faced we really did OK..."
Boone will say, "I just do not know what went wrong..."
For some time now I have been talking with some of my firends who are very rich and avid Yankee fans to the point they have loss their common sense and reality.
For 12-years I have won money from them betting against the Yanks (sad to say but true = for I let the Facts, Reality And Common Sense to help me make my decisions not just PASSION).
So I confess I have made to this point the following bets:
Got 60-1 Odds that the Yanks will not make the Post Season for $500 = With Boone, Cash, Donaldson, Hicks, Torres etc. etc. etc. I got a good shot at this. And everyday it looks better...
Got 15-1 Odds that the Yanks will not Make or Win the WS for $5,000.
Had to be patience and work them to get these odds, etc. Timing is everything -- Plus the Yanks cannot continue year after year, to take similar actions, make similar decisions and expect BETTER RESULTS!!!
They Kept Cash & Boone = MAJOR ERRORS = Mulitple FLAGS on the play.
They kept Hicks, Donaldson, etc. They traded away (WASTED) key Pitching Prospects in 2022 and we basically got screwed except for Trevino, etc.
At this point I see the Blue Jays and maybe Tampa doing better than us...Balt. with their Youth might surprise us...
I also have $$$ on the following:
Mets Phillies Blue Jays Padres Cleveland (My Dark Horse)***
And I might put for $$$ on Texas if I get the odds I am seeking. Definitly a huge long shot...
BUT deep down I hope the Yanks PROVE ME wrong and go to the WS and win it. It would worth be losing my bets...

Spring and season outlook / SS
I think there really, truly is a competition here. The only things that could reduce the cast of characters is a trade, and that would be a trade to bolster the starting pitching. I believe Kiner-Falefa could bring back the #4-#5 veteran staring pitcher the Yankees would be looking for.
Peraza’s value is likely more in the prospect field, and if the Yanks want to go in that direction, they’d more likely just use one already in their system.
Volpe isn’t going to be traded, period. Yet I don’t believe he honestly has a shot at the starting SS job out of ST. In fact, if Peraza wins the job, I think Volpe may wind up being a 2B. I’m concerned about his arm strength on the left side of the infield, to be honest.
So who wins the job out of spring training if there’s no trade? I give the edge to IKF if he’s cleaned up that double-clutching on his throws. I also expect that he (IKF) is the team’s safety valve if Donaldson continues to falter with the bat.
I like Peraza better as a long term shortstop. I doubt he gets sent back to AAA, instead I think he may start the season as a utility player in a role similar to 2022.
Here again, the pitching injuries are complicating the process, as almost any of the infielders could be trade bait…

Well since you post nothing but negatively about the Yankees not making the post season, not staying injury free and not performing up your standards etc., can you explain why your here posting? You spend a lot of time posting the most excessive doomsdayism shit, then you try to clean up your posts by saying something like "I hope the Yanks prove me wrong" BS. Your pessimism or despondency doesn't do anything for us reading this crap. Trust me, I try skipping your posts but you make them so excessively long you should get an BBB award for them. We all know the Yankees aren't perfect from Cashman to Boone to Hicks to Donaldson etc. but we're still Yankee fans, thick and thin hoping for the best and clowning the rest.

We all know the Yankees aren't perfect from Cashman to Boone to Hicks to Donaldson etc. but we're still Yankee fans, thick and thin hoping for the best and clowning the rest. If you look at every team, you can find fault, predict that injuries will play a role and see veteran players blocking young players. The only teams that usually promote freely and tend to have 4-5 youngsters in the line up tend to be the same teams that lose 90+ games. I think if we become too Yankee-centric we begin to believe the Yankees are the only team with the negatives. But look around and you learn that we’re not alone. Nor are we the only team hamstrung with regrettable contracts. I believe Dome is a true Yankees fan with a true regret for the faults he sees, and a tendency to dwell on those faults. His biggest motivation is money and that is an offshoot of his gambling habit. I can’t blame him for taking 60-1 odds on the Yankees missing the play-offs, for instance. That’s a long shot with a huge payoff…

Right, there's no reason to start a utility guy over a kid with the potential of Peraza, but we can't trust the Cashman/Boone duo.

It wouldn't surprise me if Dumb and Dumber started IKF just cause he's a veteran or if Peraza doesn't light the world on fire during Spring Training.

Acuraman: I like your name, it sounds like a Super Hero's name.
I understand your post and even your passion for the Yankees:
"Well since you post nothing but negatively about the Yankees not making the post season, not staying injury free and not performing up your standards etc., can you explain why your here posting? You spend a lot of time posting the most excessive doomsdayism shit, then you try to clean up your posts by saying something like "I hope the Yanks prove me wrong" BS. Your pessimism or despondency doesn't do anything for us reading this crap. Trust me, I try skipping your posts but you make them so excessively long you should get an BBB award for them.
We all know the Yankees aren't perfect from Cashman to Boone to Hicks to Donaldson etc. but we're still Yankee fans, thick and thin hoping for the best and clowning the rest."
You should understand I have the same degree of Passion for the Yankees but my conflict with my Passion, is my Belief in Reality, Common Sense, Logic, the Facts and the TRUTH. Sadly Passion conflicts with these. And some folks choose the Passion while a FEW choose Reality, Common Sense Logic, the Facts and the Truth. It is very very seldom one can have Passion with all of the above without conflict, confused, etc.
My Passion for the Yanks began in the early 60's = Yes I am a AVID Yankee fan. However in recent years (the last 12-years) the Reality etc. over-rode my Passion and the Facts, Truth and I have bet against the Yanks going to the WS for the last 12-years and THANK GOD I did. On the Other Hand I could have used just my Passion and bet for the Yanks to go to the WS for the last 12-years and loss HUGE amounts of $$$ and because of such, by now most likely become a very bitter Yankee follower.
And yes I have complained about the Yanks for the last decade plus (see my postings on this board and prior board) on not doing a proper rebuild = Which WE all need that needs to be done. AND yet it never happens.
Yes, I have posted (in your words = But yourTruthful words) = the most excessive doomsdayism shit... AND I have been mostly correct (see last 12 plus seasons of no WS appearances).
I truly believed, that after our embrassement AGAIN in 2022 that Boone/Cash would be gone along with Hicks, Donaldson, etc. etc. etc. and we would start a major rebuild using our Top Prospects for at least 5 positions.
However, if one reads the 2023 Teal Leaves as of TODAY, it appears Donaldson at 3B, Hicks in LF, Torres at 2B, Volpe back in minors, not enough lefties in BP, SP injured, Cash still making bad decisions or no decisions with Boone shaking his head saying "I just don't know"
However, I am not upset with your negative post . That is your right as it is mine to Post the Truth, Reality, Facts, etc. about the current state of the Yankees.
You call my statements crap = Wellfor 12-years OUR team has smelled, looked like and played like Crap. So sad to say but so damn true.
Due to my health concerns, I was hoping/praying the Yanks would make 2023 their WS Championship. My HOPES were immediately washed away during the off-season with the resigning of Boone, Cash, etc. etc. etc. Sad for me. At least Tequila MIGHT see a WS Championship.
And if you think I am negative just WAIT until the Season Opens and read some Posts (from other Posters) during the game about some of our players' actions or Boone's.
And thanks for the BBD Award = Do not know what it means, but an Award is an Award. So thanks...
And for your main question "Why do I Post here...? Because I have been, am now and will always be an avid Yankeee fan and will die as one. Its just that I am a TRUTHFUL avid Yankee fan that accepts REALITY., etc.
If my Post bothers you or others, then please pretend your keys on your computer/phone are like a TV Clicker and Click me off.
Please have a great weekend and please stay Healthy, Happy and Safe.
P.S. I came so damn close to making a huge positive bet on the Yanks (right after Post season) had gotten huge odds; but then the stupid decisions started to rolled out like they do every year, again, again, and again.
Also if this team goes in the direction I am predicting as of today Cash/Boone better be prepared to move on...
