That's good news, but is it a full go or nagging injuries? Like where did the top 5 MVP candidate the first two years he was here go? I think the problem is the Yankees are expecting that kind of production, but the last two years while he has played 125+ games in both seasons he wasn't himself, because of nagging injuries and the Yankees depth is just so bad that they really have a drop when he's not there. I think they want Volpe and Oswaldo to be that kind of versatile impact player but they are young and while I expect both to have some good runs this year at times I dunno if either can carry the team the way DJ does at times when he is healthy. So yea hopefully he is behind this and can get back to normal.

Yea I guess that's less of a chance to nag than that toe thing that seemed to last forever...

The Yanks should stop trying to get to the WS this year and INSTEAD use it as a
mini-rebuild year where we give SOME of our Top Prospects Ample Playing Time & Big League Experience, etc. If by chance we go to the WS then...but our gosal should be to ensure we have the RIGHT Young Players with ML Experience for our 2024 run.
This means we Cut/Trade Donaldson and Hicks for sure. We send back to the Farm Calhoun. We call up Perez and then when needed due to injuries (which for sure will happen = DJ, Stanton, Rizzo, Bader, etc.) other Top Prospects.
TB for the last few years have found a way to be VERY competitive with a Payroll of around $80m/year or less and our payroll is over $200m/year.
TB has a better Owner, GM and by far, very far, a better MGR.
I fear the day, hour, minute that I hear/read that Cash has traded some of our Top Prospects for Reynolds (which in the long run will hurt us more then help us).
WE must stop the Instant Grafication BS that has haunted us for 13-years and start doing some long term planning.
Yes, WE will have injuries, just as every other team will...so stop blaming our failures on injuries instead put the blame where it belongs = _____________________________________________(fill in the blank).
After I heard the word Quad, I realized it has been a long while since I have had a quadsome = need to do some PLANNING!!!

You do realize the Rays have 2 WS Appearances, 6 first round exits and 17 missed playoff years in 25 seasons correct?
If the Yankees had that kind of record they would be crucified.
Yet you are praising TB like they've won ANYTHING!!!!

If anything has haunted the Yankees for 13 years, it has not been anything in the realm of instant gratification. It has been attempting to operate like a small budget team, by taking flyers on flawed, old, or marginal players like Gallo, Voit, Odor, Hicks, Neil Walker, Shane Robinson, Brandon Drury, J.A. Happ, Montes, Encarnacion, Kendrys Morales, Troy Tulowitzski, Mike Tauchman, Erik Kratz, Jordy Mercer, Tyler Lyons, Brooks Kriske, Justin Wilson, Jay Bruce, Tim Locastro, Jonathan Davis, Andrew Heaney, Darren O' Day, etc. Instead, they passed on players in their prime like Gerrit Cole to Houston of all places, Justin Verlander to Houston of all places, Max Scherzer, Trea Turner, Freddie Freeman, and Bryce Harper. Those would have been instant gratification signings. Yankees should be blowing other teams out of the bidding, until their farm system produces.
