Cole passes Bobby Witt Sr and Whitey on the all time K list. He's going to pass a lot more.

Where is our fearless leader today, and also the sombrero that shall not be named. I’ve been here for about an inning my sesquipedalian friend. I was reading through the forum before reporting in and was consulting my dictionary to attempt to join the conversation. Lol at Renfield going back to the dots…

Yay, Rizzo ties Chase Utley on the all-time HBP list for number eight! Up next is deadball-era player Dan McGann. Rizzo needs 25 more. Then 13 beyond that to reach ex-Met and Expo IFer Ron Hunt at 243. Hunt is still the only guy I ever heard of who actually practiced getting hit by a pitch. Utley was borderline HOF for awhile. Heck of a player at bat and in the field. And he crowded the plate very much the same way Rizzo does.

I appreciate your ability to share without any latent parsimony, and educative without being pedantic. To follow the discussions on this board I now not only need Baseball Reference, but the Oxford English Dictionary. Geez. Think I'll just go watch the dots. Don’t go, Ren. I promise to to be to big wordy for ya’ all…

I sort of like the Twins hat. I sort of don't like Hicks.

O'Neill is wrong Hicks. He's not a role player, he's a bench player. There's a difference.

Rizzo deserved to reach base. He was standing there like the brave Marshall that wouldn’t dance when the bad guy shot at his feet. And he at least got his shoelaces dirty. Drawing the HBP without getting injured is a skill, and it’s easier if you don’t actually get hit by the pitch. He probably prefers his shirts extra blousy and would wear MC hammer breeches if the league would allow them…

Probably too many injuries interfered with his overall numbers and never had the magic 3000 or 500 or .300, but he had an eight year run with a 129 OPS+

I sort of like the Twins hat. I sort of don't like Hicks. I’d sort of like it if Hicks could go back to wearing that Twins hat…

I sort of like the Twins hat. I sort of don't like Hicks. I like the old hat. This one looks like the Marlins or Mobil Oil.

That's what speed does at the top of the lineup! Single from Volpe, but a great attempt by Carmen Miranda.

I agree with Paul. Baserunners need to go early in the count.
