Stanton was grabbing at his hamstring after he doubled yesterday and was removed from the game. I didn't think anything of it because it wasn't mentioned on the post game. Now's he's out of the lineup.

Stanton was grabbing at his hamstring after he doubled yesterday and was removed from the game. I didn't think anything of it because it wasn't mentioned on the post game. Now's he's out of the lineup. I thought it was odd that he walked off and then Boone had to get a pinch runner ready… |

Further evidence that Boone's rest policy doesn't cut down on injuries. Stanton had already sat out two of the first 15 games and probably would have sat today anyway to get the extra off day. Even though the injury had nothing to do with Stanton playing the OF, it wouldn't shock me if Boone decided to end the pattern of letting him play there now and then. You can never be too safe in Nurse Boone's world. |

It's always running the bases, taking a swing, working out, etc. |
